Is there no "Lim Guan Eng" to save Malaysia's richest state ...Selangor....

It is truly depressing to see the Selangor government tottering along in economy, playing hide and seek with the Sultan and using the Federal government forever as an excuse for being unable to stimulate economic development....

If they win again at GE13, are we Selangorians supposed to say yahoo and suffer again for another 5 years..

Penang has demonstrated that you need to think out of the box and come out with innovative and creative ideas aggressively to promote economic development...with finance comes power....that finance can used for a whole lot of purposes including infrastructure and educational development.....don't forever depend on the Federal government...if it is going to be marginal wins for the next 20 years...Selangorians had it.....

36 hours? Only 36 hours? And she's done? What a waste. It should have been a week or more. Wonder how much did she actually spend during the 36 hours. We must encourage these travellers to stay longer, see more, eat more, spend more, experience more.

She didn't even mention or try nasi kandar, char koey teow or mee udang (or that 'special cake' made by those unhappy fellows at Komtar).

It sounds like a good scheme to be tried out on the civil service where medical costs are very high. This will enable the insurance company, the medical profession and the patients to work out the fine details.
After it works well for say 5 years, we can consider making it necessary for all working Malaysians; but it should be a fixed amount and not a percentage of salary....maybe the older the worker the higher the premium.

Where there is an idea to squeezed money from Malaysians....you can leave it to the UMNO b experts...who keep ignoring public's concern and questioned asked.
Such is the "People First" policy...which is nonsense.
It's always "Umno First" whatever it is.

Hey, Gerakan, instead of boasting your "past glory" in Penang by "Lu Chai Bo", why not tell us your future plan for Penang and how you can do better than Pakatan.

Then, may be, may be the people will consider voting for Gerakan. It's no use bombarding us with "Lu Chai Bo", it makes us want to throw up!!!

///Dr Hasan had offered an explanation yesterday in which he clarified that RM34 billion has been set aside by the government and the private sector for this new scheme and that under the scheme all costs related to medical visits and treatments will be borne by a central government agency which will pool contributions from “the government employer employee and those self-employed ”.///--MalaysianInsider

It is precisely the polling of resources to be managed by a central government agency that causes problems. We simply do not believe that a government agency run by the civil servants is better in managing funds for taking care of the health concerns of the individuals. Government has misused funds to the extent of giving soft loans to politically connected persons for them to use as they please. There will certainly be new NFC-type of examples if a central agency is entrusted with money given to them by 1Care. Now the government intends to use 1Care to force private sector to pay into the fund controlled by a government agency. Thus the health ministry is not doing what they do best in terms of the medical technical know how on treating the sick. The ministry is involved in managing the people, and the allocation of resources. Why should a country that believes in free enterprise choose to impose on workers and employers to pay into government fund money which they now pay to the health insurance to take care of their health services need? Worse, they are asked to pay more than their insurance premiums.

LTL, the Health Minister said that 1Care is an upgrade. A upgrade would relate to improvement of health services provided by the government. Dr Hasan's understanding of 1Care involves no upgrade of health services; it is an upgrade of robbery by the government of the rights of the private sector employees on how they finance their health care needs.

The 11 technical groups should work only on upgrade of health services as mentioned by LTL. That upgrade should only be based on the budget available to them from existing government resources, without new taxes. They should only base on the expected increase in the number of patients who depend on government health services.

With or without the 1Care all citizens are entitled to using government health services. The government should be grateful to the people who choose to go to private health services providers, using their own funds. That reduce the demand for services provided by the government. It is unfair twice over to make non-government dependent patients to pay into 1Care and yet limit their choice. Worse they are expected to pay much more than they have to health insurance company. All told, the people who do not burden the government for health care are required to subsidize a government scheme, which is most likely a scam to enrich a certain corporation who might tender for 1Care.

1care will only come into force if BN is returned to power. All persons who are not government employees should stop BN returning to PutraJaya.

Myanmar hopes to top ASEAN nations in ten years. Which means that she will better Malaysia in less than half that time. The problem we face in Malaysia is politicians using race as an excuse that nothing can be done. Najib is selling some GLCs to Bumis. Those GLCs' subsidiaries are certainly money making concerns, else they will still depend on the Treasury. Thus a few selected Bumis will be sold ready made money-making concerns for their loyalty, or is it for holding in trust?

Follow the money trail and you get the answer and real motivation for this new TAX.

It's estimated that a 10% National Insurance Tax will generate $44 Billion, of which $4 Billion will be the admin cost.

At first BUMNO/BN Govt will handle it and then "Sub-contract" it out to a Bumi crony who will inject it into a Plc and become an instant billionaire (just as they did with Fomema , to a hospital group then controlled by Mahathir's son). In the meantime, healthcare cost will become astronomical and services will go to the dogs.

Then, BUMNO/BN Govt will bail out the listed Plc at $8 a share when the market price is $4. Sounds familiar? That's the sick game plan!

國際學校准100%收本地學生 (International schools allow to take 100% local students)

i am not sure if parents are happy of such policy change and will vote bn comes ge13.

allowing private schools to take local students does not answer...

1. the poor quality of national schools. this is apparent failure of the ministry of education!

2. why parents need to pay for expensive fees for these private schools when they have already paid taxes and this taxes should have been used for providing quality national education.

3. the education gap between these 'elite' schools and national schools will only worsen.

wks, when are uec be 'accepted' (in your word) to local universities? when? give us a date!

wks, when are you going to come to puchong to tell the people what are you doing for the new school application?

wks, denial of problems is no excuse. if both of you and your boss cannot do the job well, both of you should resign!

how could such an important aspect of the country lands on the hands of these incompetent people?

To those who still complaining about Pakatan administration in Penang or Selangor - Freedom cannot be measured simply with not getting what you want when you want. The truth is UMNO/BN may deliver a few things faster to you if you complain hard enough but they will still not get you what you want when you want for the most part.

However, one thing a PR administration in Penang AND Selangor, PR has delivered a sense of freedom, a sense of independence from the yoke of hegemonistic UMNO-Perkasa/BN that is EVEN more valuable than anything they have delivered so far. So before anyone including Hindraf go complaining about Pakatan, remember that no lesson they can teach Pakatan, is worth losing that freedom AND put themselves further at risk of even MORE yoke of hegemonistic UMNO-Perkasa/BN..
