I tend to agree, Mr. Britt. The lies are obvious.
Lets see, first they said that they had found the so-called Bigfoot corpse along a road, then they said thay had made the discovery while hiking near a stream? How, ludicrous!

At every end to this story they have never been forthcoming with any evidence, at all.
I mean, anyone of whom would have found anykind of evidence to the existence of Bigfoot, I’m sure that they would be willing to share that said evidence to the world, just for the sake of proving the existance of Bigfoot, as well as for the sake of mankind, and science.

But as we can see, this is only a pointless, and devious stunt to dupe the public into believing in this B.S., and at the same time they’er trying to make a lucrative amount of cash by, nothing more than, lying to the public.
Since it’s obvious that they have a website devoted to selling Bigfoot merchandise, as well as trying to make a movie out of their so-called, evidence.

Yes, anyone can make a claim, but, the question is; can you show anykind of proof to substantiate that claim?
And, the reply to this pretense claim, through DNA evidence, came with a resounding, no!

Mr. David, if your hunch turns out right that will catapult Phoenix as the most exiting mission to Mars since the Vikings. I must admit that I was a little disappointed with the mission data so far. But if Phoenix team has kept it low for the reason of peer reviewing a possible breakthrough in the search for life than all the waiting was worth it. And how!!!

I have found that a lot of the sites you mention (leanmpg, hypermilers, etc) do mention tactics like drafting but also give strong reasons why people should think twice before using such techniques.

It’s better that people read the full facts (including the negatives) about these type of tactics so they can make an informed decision instead of just hearing it from a friend and thinking “I’ll give that a try”.

Most people who are just getting into the subject of hypermiling are looking to save money and fuel, not risk their lives or the lives of others.

Good for China, and the general Space community. I wonder which would be better, a single ISS, or several ‘national’ Space Stations orbiting - say another MIR, some Chinese Space Station (CSS), ESS (Europe) (US3 - as opposed to ASS) for the United States, the JSS, CANASS etc… As opposed to all effort poured into one big developing white elephant? Of course, cost is the limiter, but the would drive for greater effeciency. Time will tell…

Check out the giant crater in the western quarter of the united states.

Go to the mapquest satellite viewer and use the aerial mode to view the western united states. Zoom to the third level from the bottom. Check the labels box.

Now, look at where Boise, Idaho is located. Just north east of Boise is a very large impact recoil peak. There is another recoil peak a little further north west of Boise/northeast of Baker City Oregon. Uncheck the labels box and look at the map without the roads, etc. Look carefully at the area to the east, over to the area of yellowstone park and the northwest corner of Wyoming.

To the north and south of the Yellowstone area, the crater rim is readily visible.

Do this all with a smart student or a whole classroom if you can. (6th-8th grade).

Follow the arc of the crater rim south.. to the south west, up to the north along the western Cascade Mountains up through Washington and then eastward around the canada border and on down south to reconnect back at the Yellowstone area. The crater rim here appears to have been affected by Yellowstone caldera activity.

See the big impact crater. About 1000 miles in diameter. There is another, slightly smaller crater to the south and a “super volcano” in the “four corners” area.
What’s the culprit here? Big asteroid and company? Largest craters yet discovered on Earth? So far.

Thanks for the message. You raise some good points - and I agree with them. We’re in a unique time in technology and history - we now have the ability to thwart an impactor. Still, there’s much work to be done as Schweickart is noting, particularly on the international front. One hopes that the report headed to the UN next year will stir up some action.

Itâ€™s about time someone took note of this very important issue. Throughout history asteroids and supervolcanoes have affected life on earth drastically. Just because it hasnâ€™t happened in recent generations, does not mean that it will not happen. The threat from an asteroid or asteroids will inevitably come again.
We, as humans on Earth, for the first time, have the ability to institute a plan to use our technology to protect us. It would be foolish of us to ignore these potential and inevitable dangers. If we donâ€™t do something now, it will be too late when the rest of us take notice.
When we are threatened with an asteroid castastrophe, which will be sooner or later, for sure, we will be feeling pretty darn stupid that we used our technologies to fight with each other, instead of using our technology to prepare for a giant, indiscriminant monster like an asteroid.
