I really wonder now where you actually do live now that you said it is an hour for you to get to Chicago. We are a little further from downtown Chicago. Hubby and I often will drive into Schaumburg to hit our favorite stores; IKEA and The Container Store which is where I buy all my containers for my sewing room storage. It really is humbling and sometimes a little embarrassing since I don't always know these things while I'm talking to them at the meetings! I was tickled to buy a mixed color grouping of skinny quarters by Jinny Beyer at 65 cents per cut, I purchased 50. The cuts will make great scrap and string quilts.
