Not sure I agree with you here but it is largely personal preference. I personally hate corded earphones and happy to see them go. I think BT is easily the best way to go as soon as we get all car manufactures (cough GM) to implement BT as an AUX only player and not be forced to use the junky iphone connect or music player apps they have. I also am skeptical of fold-able phones. Not sure how they would make them durable enough with the hinges to last.

Totally agree. I used to be the guy standing in line at best buy (search the site there is picture proof) to buy the newest device at launch to now just buying a new device when absolutely needed or when there is some new features that I have to have. (Apple Watch 3). But I agree the Apple iPhone X has reached the insanity level. Apple waiting to get into "phablet" market and did so with gusto and a breathtaking premium which began setting the higher benchmark pricing. My wife battled me about getting a plus and when she did there was no turning back. Ipads sit and collect dust. So with so much mileage being put on phones they are wearing out faster and forcing consumers to by more. And this AT&T Next plan which is really an interest free loan eliminating AT&T from subsidizing the $199.99 on every phone was brilliant. My cell phone bill has never been higher. Kudos AT&T. I cancelled my land line, premium cable channels now what? Maybe I can stop eating as well so I can NEXT the iPhone X.

My old Canon (MX892) was 19.5" wide, and it fit in a very tight cabinet alongside an HP LaserJet. So I went shopping hoping to get the same size printer. The Canon MX922 was the same width, but no rear MP feed. The Brother MCF-J5830 is 21.5" wide, which resulted in me having to relocate the HP LaserJet in my home office, but it was worth the effort. This model only has an 8.5" x 14" glass for scanning, but can print 11 x 17. The model at the office (MCF-J6920DW), which is surprisingly the same 21.5" wide has a full 11 x 17 glass, and two trays for printing, but only a single sheet rear MP slot, which often prints a tad crooked. I ran 100+ sheets of 110lb card stock through the J5830DW MP slot/tray on Saturday (can hold up to 100 sheets of 20lb paper) and it worked great. No jams, no crooked prints, and faster than the Canon. I still like Canon as a brand, but they did disappoint me this time around. The Brother printers use these XXL ink tanks which last a long time and are accessible from the front of the machine. I have also found their software to load easily and is simple to navigate. Canon has a tendency to install some proprietary stuff (their own driver ports for example) that can complicate a PC. During my registry purge, after removing all the Canon software, I deleted nearly 100 keys that referenced my old Canon printer and the Canon printer ports. That was just plain silly. Right now, with the excellent rear MP tray on this Brother printer, it is serving my needs. But different strokes for different folks.

Good tip on the Device Setup Manager. I'll need to keep that in mind. We went through something similar when our Canon died a while ago and bought their wide format printer through Amazon. I really miss the auto-duplex, but my wife loves the wide/large format printing. I'll have to keep the Brother in mind for when this current Canon dies. Looks like it does just about everything we need and a bit more, though it seems like it's larger than the Canon.

Something about the AirPod's that I just don't trust to stay in my ears. I never like the included headphones that Apple includes with their devices.
Windows Phone is always left behind. With Windows 10 I'm really feeling the pull to ditch my iPhone and go back to MS. The only problem is that now just about my entire family is on the fruit phone. The interoperability between phone and Windows 10 just seems way to tempting to pass up at this point. I'm really only using a handful of the couple hundred apps that I have on my iPhone. One of the only things that is keeping me on Apple is Apple Music family plan. Which isn't a very compelling argument. I really don't give a shit about all the shitty camera apps, or fad of the day social apps. I'm on a damn Windows machine all day, might as well get some sweet interaction with my phone. MWC can't come soon enough, I want a bad ass flagship Windows Phone Damn It! And I miss my live tiles.

With the Internet of Things all around us, you could write about solar panels, washing machines, refrigerators or door locks. Cause all of those things can be accessed and managed with your mobile device. The topic is unlimited in scope.

I don't try to be the first to post on things anymore. Mobility Digest isn't a news site. It's more an honest, unbiased (well......), uninfluenced, site. I tend to write about things after I have digested them for a time. And occasionally regurgitated them. As a confirmed Microsoft fan boy and former resident of Newark. NJ (born and raised in the armpit of the nation), I can talk fairly and sometimes critically of those subjects. I won't openly knock Apple or Google (although kidd...ing, I mean Bahaaaa.....ing isn't off the table), if I haven't actually experienced the platform or product. That's not being fair and honest. My goal is to help people make informed decisions. My influence and opinion can't be bought at any price.
