My dog was scared to go outside the first time it snowed this year. :) She would have been way happier to lay in a comfy chair listening to good music and smelling that tasty chili cooking.

Here is an excellent article written by Mark Bittman about:

...three basic recipes can get anyone into the kitchen and beyond the realm of takeout food, microwaved popcorn and bologna sandwiches in a few days.

1. I'm so excited about not having school anymore either. It's a fabulous feeling [for the first time in my life-I've never not had school coming up the next semester]
2. I love smitten kitchen and pioneer woman. I use delicious to bookmark websites, and especially for sk and pw [my tags for their recipes on delicious]. Looking forward to seeing more of your recipe tries!
3. I know what you mean about having time to blog. I don't even attempt cooking/pitures/etc, and I still don't have time.
4. I'm looking forward to seeing you all the time at work! Green Class will be visiting tomorrow or Wednesday with a Christmas card....

Lovely stuff! I went to Britain this summer and had my first ever afternoon tea with a scone, and it was absolutely delicious I figured I'd try make my own last week. I might have broken a few rules maybe - I found a tonne of random scone recipes here and made 3 different kinds! My friends were so happy when I invited them round for tea and scones, complete with real whipped cream. Terrific fun!
