I'm 76 years old, mid december i hit a cable put up by a farmer for his cattle open road with no warning. I have an existing hip implant and came down on it after going over the too of the cable and ended up with a spiroid break of the femur surrounding the implant. Now beginning february, still in hospital, swelling mostly gone. I was riding 200 to 300kms a week before this, mostly concerned with recovery at my age
