i was that child. It can be rough for him as well. You dont know me or any of my qualifications, but trust me. SKipping him ahead through school, or home schooling is the best option. I understand the concern that his social development will be stunted. But it will be stunted anyway, if he's forced to interact with children only interested in cartoons, he'll end up focusing his energies on understand the questions they will pose. He probably cant just "watch" cartoons. I really sympathize with how difficult it can be, my younger brother is the same way. As they grow it wont get easier, hormones + genius = madness. Try to get them interested in sports, it'll really help. I wish you all the best

Aren't children a freakin handful? Here you are going nuts and your son, so innocent, has no idea what's going on. It's funny now but I'm sure during the time you were about to have a convulsion!

Good to see you back!

Yep. While other western civilizations are becoming more tolerant and socially evolved, ours seems to be fighting it every step of the way and even advocating digression.

It blows my mind how so many people who advocate "family values" also endorse outdated philosophies such as prejudice, bigotry, and ignoring their responsibilities toward the environment while continuing to deplete the earth at warp speed.

Family values, my ass. We need to endorse societal values, and by that I mean respect and empathy not finger pointing and sermons on morality.

But that's just me.

Jeffrey,

Thanks for your concern! In addition to not having enough "quiet" time to write/blog with the kids being out of school for the summer, I've been working tirelessly on photography. With the realization that I generally devote far more than a 40-hour work week to things that many people actually make a living at, I decided I need to at least attempt to earn something in the process. I'm currently working on a website from which prints can be ordered, as well as developing a few other strategies to hopefully do some freelancing or custom work.

I'd absolutely love to write for a living so if you know of anything, hook me up! :)
