It was made by Digital Concepts, but, I'll tell you straight up: That particular tripod was junk and I threw it away while overseas.

It used a telescoping leg section that you'd pull out, then turn slightly to prevent it from collapsing. The problem was that it became rapidly difficult to open or close the legs when you wanted to, and they'd close when you didn't want them to.

You never want a tripod to collapse with your camera on it, that could mean the end of an expensive camera, so it got the big garbage can.

I'd have hung onto it and complained to the manufacturer, but I didn't want to haul it back to the US.

Hi Eugene,

I'm contacting you on behalf of Torrent. We're a television show about podcasting culture and every week we feature video podcasts that we think are exceptional (funny, cool, interesting). We came across your site and think your podcasts are great. We'd like to feature the "Field Kit" - episode 3 on an up coming episode.

We air on G4 TechTV in Canada http://www.g4techtv.ca/torrent/episode/index.shtml. There's already some guy who's hosting captured versions of our show is you want to take a peek (http://www.1hug.com/tor/). It's a very friendly show for the tech savvy web junkies.

While the podcasts are airing, we run a them in a graphical player that has the podcast name, episode number and URL rotating. It's a good way to get exposure for your site and podcasts.

If you're interested or have any questions, please drop me a note.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Mike.

What happened?

The last date I see is this past September with a promise of episode 4 by the 27th.

You have a great premise for a program and should be in contention with IZZY Video and Mac Pro Podcasts.

I hope the suddent absence of your program doesn't mean the end of them altogether.

(I want the missing episodes, please.)

yours,

... Jim

I think the brand was Digital Concepts. It was in one of those annoying clear plastic sealed packages you have to destroy to open, so I threw it away almost immediately.

I did see it at both Office Max and Staples. I did a quick check online and found a small Digital Concepts tripod on both their websites, but neither looked like the one I bought.

I'll check it when I get back and see if I can give you an exact model number.

Really good, you got this episode out the door and I enjoyed watching it. Thanks.
One question- What is that compact, very extendable tripod called? I'd like to buy one on-line somewhere.

I was having a little trouble with QT7 in Windows 2000, but VLC works like a charm. Your show rules! Thanks for the great advice already.
