Comment on Gigantic Javascript WTF: DispHTMLElementCollection by bemson

Lack of documentation is certainly bad and should be frowned upon. I don't know about the term "WTF" - it's 2010 now, btw - but I agree with the sentiment and it's unfortunate how folks responded on that other site.

That said, I did find your post and it was helpful with my confusion about the DispHTMLElementCollection. On another note, even though late to the conversation and moreso for others understanding, IE would only return "object" if you did a typeof operation on this psuedo-nodelist collection. Trying an instanceof won't help either, but thems the breaks.

Again, it's 2010 and I'm late to the party. Your post was helpful (thank you Google), but it all reminds me of bleak the web is in the land of Internet Explorer. :-/

Comment on Domain Name Appraisal Scammer by Patina

I have been hit up with this same scammer named Young. Offering me 6000.00 for a domain name that is listed on ebay and insisting that I get a manual appraisal done before he spends money.

His email to me is identical to the email at the top of this article. Only the names and dates are different and well, the sender tells me that he will not spend "one penny" of his money without a manual appraisal.

I wrote him back and told him that if he wanted an appraisal done on my domain name he can have it done at his expense.

I based my price on traffic and previous offers.
He provided my co worker with this link in the email:

Thank you for putting this up guys..

When travelling light, you might have your Ipod with you, but not your laptop, so this way a small plug like this fits into your baggage and can recharge your device without the need for anything more.

Thank you James, I've never used a Mac, always been a windows and linux only guy (yeah yeah I know), the idea of a notepad that saves automatically, clever. Writing a version for windows, genius:-)

I stuck it in the startup folder so I can now leave notes for myself, thanks!

Woot, an actual user.

No warranty express or implied. :) But yah, that's the correct path. If I ever get started on version 1.1, I'm going to make it save the data in a XML file, or something more durable.

Hey.. where are the notes actually stored? In the registry?

My PC crashed one day and now Jamespad won't start -- Quite annoying really. Wrote some stuff I had to do which I now cannot remember :P
