I’ll check with Thomas if he can research some more around the error. Until then, have you exactly followed his instructions? And, any more info you can provide could perhaps help us spot if there is any error to this recipe. That said, others have used it with success.

THnx Complete and Good Article for WIM2VHD, however, i am geting error when i want to boot system in vhd before boot manager an error window appears with this message

“The configuration for an element within the object is invalid in the boot configuration data store

status 0x000000e

What is it and y? please tell me… thnx

The good part though, is that you actually looked for options in the end, not settling with NIH thught, and forcing your own code, now the feed have one more subscriber, and with any luck not gonna be deprecated just like that.

Hopefully this site: http://data.norge.no/ will be the ultimate catalog of services like this. (Yes, I know, it did not exist at time of your writing.)

I keep getting this error. I have copied Win7ent\sources\install.wim to C:\ and made a virtual drive a C:\VHD\win7vhd

Hey, @blu , thanks for pointing this out. Man, I fixed it for some of the other sample parts but failed to spot the generic delegate!

Well, performance wise this approach is equal to registering non-generic delegates. The difference is with non-generics, the delegate is generated at register time. With generics, the delegate is generated at resolve time.

Either way, the delegate will only have to be generated once. Next time the delegate is asked for, it will already be available in the container.

Good post. I think
public delegate T ServiceFactory() where T:class;

is supposed to be
public delegate T ServiceFactory() where T:class;

Have you looked at the performance impact of this approach. Does Autofac do something similar under the hood?

The problem with finding the info in the first place, I guess, was that I didn’t search with the right words. So I ended up calling 1881 and they said “hey, go to 175.no” which redirects to http://www.vegvesen.no/trafikk/mobil.

And already there one moral to this story comes into play. Because, as a developer empowered with all these nifty (screen scraping and whatnot) tools at disposal, I thought “no rss? no problem, I can fix it myself”. Instead, what I really should’ve done was look at the url and say “hm, wonder what marvels are hidden at http://www.vegvesen.no/trafikk“.
