I have to agree, Truth. Unfortunately, you are pretty much spot on. However, the important thing to understand about pickup is that we're not trying to conform to other guys' precedent at all; most of us are nice, average-looking guys with plenty to offer. If we went around and dated the normal way, we'd have lower success than really attractive guys, really confident guys, etc., just like a lot of less-attractive women have less success than supermodel-gauge girls do.
No, what pickup is really for is to distinguish yourself from other guys. Unless you luck out and happen to be a girl's image of the perfect guy, pickup theories can do nothing but improve your life.
It's not just with women, either. Confident, comfortable, outgoing men succeed more at pretty much everything. Plus, some of the tips on this site are just to start working out, eating right, and getting some hobbies. Can't hurt!

To Hell wit hthis crap!! I am so tired of reading this garbage of how it's Men's fault and how we need t o"fix ourselves". It's women withthe problem. Some men are shy, some are not, we are all different but in these stupid articles. We have to strive to all be alike just to have women resepct us. It all bullshit. Women are scum, the majority of them. They are the ones who are unkind, rude, ugly and uncompassionate. When do you everread articles telling women to all be alike to get men to like them? Rarely! They get a free ride. This shite will not end until men refuse to play the game any more. Because al it does is create a sciety of angry men and women who abuse them.

Great list,

I also use visualization and affirmations just to perk myself up and build more confidence. Sounding natural and not appearing serious but rather playful and full of fun are also good way to appear more smooth. Make your approach part of your game and most importantly embrace small wins and do not dwell on negative outcomes but learn from them. Good luck. If it doesn't kill you makes you stronger. - g

Alvaro Orlando is a fraud. He was in my acting class in Florida before he moved to LA a few years ago. I actually watched an episode with my classmates and teacher in ft lauderdale one night and it was pretty sad to witness all these lies about him. Most of the things that were said about him were fake and if you watch the episodes carefully, you can notice a dramatic change from start to finish. In the beginning episodes, he appears to be geaky and nerdy never having a girlfriend (which is not true) and having an inability to control his nerves around woman. As the show progresses, so does his personality. It was so obvious that he was acting especially when most times he was indicating. Furthermore, the episode where he wins the challenge of kissing that gorgeous woman; did that kiss look like a guy who is shy, nervous, and never had a girlfriend before?? I think not. Even his name is a joke. His first name is really Alvaro, but he changed his last name. Is it a coincidence that he chose "Orlando" for his last name when he grew up in Miami. Hmmm. Big set up.
