Heaven forbid ‘let it be’ and ‘God will fill the gap’ syndromes that I smell in all the comments here! Even our dearest mr. Ibu is in on it – to be blaming unseen and agents as responsible for any bad situation we encounter – reality does not mean anything as we are used to ‘broken world and life’ therefore believe every misfortune is down to some super natural agent…what of actually telling ourselves the truth for a change to demystify our strong believe in such syndromes? NEPA in partnership with inadequate leadership of our nation are the people responsible for this child’s death. If we had adequate healthcare system and steady electricity supply, an ambulance would have rushed the child to hospital under the care of in-vehicle doctors/nurses to the hospital accident and emergency who then diagnoses the child’s acute illness for the hospital consultants and specialists to treat the child. Even if he died afterwards, everyone involved would have found a closure to this loss by being rest assured that they did their uttermost best – as it is, we run away from reality – the real culprits to settle for blaming unseen hands! God help us and bless Nigeria and its people!
