Hi Pascal,

How have you found the included AAX DSP plug-ins? What about the Avid Channel Strip?

I completely agree with you.
I miss my TDM plug in when I record VO's, when I mix, when I master .....
Seeing the plug ins go into bypass when I record a VO is just killing me, feeling like in the LE days.

Pro Tools HDX 10.1 is currently Mac only.

I'm currently testing the AAX Versionsof Plugins coming with 10.1 on a Macbook Pro 2011:
BF-2A, BF-76, Dyn3, EQ3, Impact, Low/Recti/Sci/Vari-Fi, Maxim, Pultec Bundle, Real Tape Suite Bundle, ReverbOne and Revibe - No issues so far.
Of course you need the iLok licence and AAX Plugin file which is mostly coming with the 10.1 installer.
Couldn't localize any AAX versions of the Fairchild, Purple Audio or BF-3A and Heat also does not run without DSP.
I only own Smack LE and this one seem to require the TDM licence.

Russ,

A very fair point, I suspect the ratio of iOS related turnover will be enormous, but I thought these figures for non iOS related sales might give us a glimmer of hope.

Mike
A better measurement would be how much Apple turned over and made on iOS related activity compared to Mac Pro. That is the only measure they will be using.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the note, good to know that at least this one works, although not so good news about the amount of cpu usage.

The Pultec bundle works for me (native). But when I compared system load with aax and rtas versions I found out that the new aax plugins needed about 5% more cpu. Not really a step forward.
