Second show was a lot of fun. Had Lauren Balthrop on backup vocals and xylophone, and the whole show was kind of silly.

Wicked should come first no matter what. ;-)

Lois has asked me to say that there was another "theme" in the show that was beyond vulgar/insane, which I couldn't even bring myself to mention, let alone articulate.

That said, you're an amazing person and I have little doubt that you could "take it" and not have it affect your faith whatsoever. I'm sure you'd chuckle at a bunch of the jokes as well. :-)

Interesting.

My hesitation in seeing this show has always been about being worried I'd feel ridiculed rather than entertained. It's a fine line.

I have no problem with mocking Mormon culture, I do it myself. Plus we're an easy target. I'm just not sure how I'd react to having my beliefs mocked. I mean, I know they sound crazy, but like you pointed out (in far nicer terms) most religions have their fair share of far fetched ideas.

I'm still intrigued by the musical, but I'll probably hold off seeing it until I don't have to sell a kidney to do so. Plus there's always Wicked. ;)

as always, it's like being there - except for the music...

we went to Richmond CenterStage where Susan Greenbaum performed re. her new album... 750 people were there for the 2 1/2 hour show !!
