Of course he was referring to slavery .. but of course GOP'er of today dont consider slavery a flaw! but rather a virtue. I bet they especially like the part about blacks not being able to vote but counting three fifths for population so as to increase the numbers of representatives in the senate from slave states.

The plan expresses the intent that government employees will be empowered to "override" your doctor's recommendation for treatment (doctors will be fined for failure to concur). Am I over-reaching in my concern that the government's need to fund social security obligations to late baby boomers can be administratively mitigated by refusing medical treatments to these boomers as "unnessary" or "not economical," thereby hastening the demise of millions that funded the promises of this system over the last 40 to 50 years?

Attacking liberals is irrational. I would consider myself a liberal, to an extent, and I too am absolutely shocked this man is only being charged with 2nd degree murder. I'd love to hear the explanation for that one.

Reply to Collin.

Playing the "I'm a saint and your not card?"

I disagree with the validity of the hypothetical situation you bring up. As it stands, McCain WASN'T elected and McCain WASN'T inaugurated.

Going into what-ifs is a waste of time, as, and I'm sure you'll agree, the what-if you brought up most certainly didn't happen.

The tactic you take is not only devicive, but inflammatory, and it serves no purpose other than to illuminate your sore looser mentality and your scorn for Obama. Nothing more.

Now I will play the part of the saint, and I will graciously answer your question. As a member of the Libertarian Party, I would support John McCain had he been elected, and if he had messed up on the oath, I would have attacked any media entity that would make sensationalist claims that it hampered his ability to be President.

I don't know what kind of a twit you are, but read the Constitution - Article II, Section 1: the word 'faithfully' comes before 'execute', not at the end of the phrase. Chief Justice Roberts at first put it at the end, obviously Obama caught the gaff, stopped, Roberts partially corrected the phrase and Obama finished it incorrectly.
Both made a mistake, so don't blame Obama when he wasn't originally responsible for it. Obama certainly didn't cause Roberts to botch it.

1. What would everyone say if McCain pulled this Oath of Office Blunder?
2. What would everyone say if Palin pulled this Oath of Office Blunder?
3. What would everyone say if Bush pulled this Oath of Office Blunder?

Im sure people wouldnt be so sensitive to their "human" mistakes.

The Intellectual Redneck said...

detailed instructions on how to get an original vault copy of a Hawaii birth certificate. Of course Obama is President. He would not need to do anything but have someone pick up the phone. This is just to show you anyone can easily do it. Obama supporters spread so much untruth. :(

'When requesting a certified copy of your birth certificate from the Vital
Records Section of DOH, let the clerk know you are requesting it "For
DHHL Purposes," and that you need a copy of the original Certificate of
Live Birth and not the computer-generated Certification. If mailing in your
request form, please fill in "For DHHL Purposes" in the "Reason for
Requesting a Certified Copy" section. (See example on page 6.)'

They even show a sample copy of the vault record for those so blinded by Obama they thought that document was a myth.

Exactly... why even mention it. Because the Main Stream Media is making a big deal about it. CNN and now MSNBC. It was a mistake and anyone could make it... so everyone should just leave it alone. But, like I said, CNN and MSNBC are the ones pushing this ridiculous story.

Does something this minor really need to be blamed on anyone?

I mean, it doesn't matter anyway, Obama became president at twelve noon, only a few minutes before the oath. He heard the news that he was officially president as he was standing up. Think about it, you find out that you have just become president of the United States, put yourself in the position, you have just recieved news that you are president of the United States, you would feel dizzy, probably, the sheer enormity of such an undertaking just suddenly bearing down on you and lifting you up at the same time. It's a pretty big deal, and to see that he realizes that I think is to his credit. It is physical proof that he understands the burden and the honour that is simultaneously bestowed upon him.

To belittle him for that is to only feed the fire of hyper sensitivity and hyper reactivity that is too deeply ingrained in politics. Good heavens, he is a human, not a voice synthesizer that can spout out perfectly formulated sentences under any emotional condition.

To jumble ones words is not the same as jumble the security and wellbeing of ones nation. To take something so infintessimaly minor and make it into such a big deal is just as childish as throwing a temper tantrum if your mommy doesn't buy you a lollipop while at the grocery.

Grow up. There is no one to blame, it was a mistake. And, as a mistake, it does not and should not reflect badly upon his character. On the grounds that someone on another site brought up, saying that Obama did not have the patience to deal with people who were "below him", that is total bullocks. As I said, it was a mistake, and it does not, nor should it, bear any reference, inferred or otherwise, to his character.

In closing, I'll bring back one of My choice lines that I used frequently during the election when someone did something stupid. To you I say, "Grow up, or, failing that, just go and vote for McCain."
