These are the two things that seem to limit free time. Focusing on the things that matter and are important should be at the top of the priority list. This will involve allocating time to getting the things done that need to be done and done soon. At the same time, a small portion of time should be assigned to "break time," or "me time," in which one can pursue personal interests or side projects like practising guitar, or learning Ruby on Rails.
