I haven’t run a full battery of tests yet to see how it might affect paint, etc, but I’ll post an update when I do!

As for brand, mine is so old I don’t even know what it is… but it looks like it could be Duck or Scotch brand.

Excellent idea. I was thinking of doing the same because drilling my models for magnets makes me nervous. I wasn’t sure about the material though. This seems to be working. Is this safe for the plastic? If it stays for a long time will it leave marks or will it be difficult to remove? Any recommended brand? Thanks!

Like the job you’ve done so far. It’s nice to see a non-Falcon. The gouge you mentioned is by design actually as it’s on my 1300 as well. I think it’s supposed to add to the worn hard & put away wet, held together with duct tape & bubblegum look that the Falcon is meant to have (hence why everyone insults it & talks about how junky it is, though I feel it’s pretty elegant looking lol).

That is awesome to hear. Yeah I just got my Dread Knight last night and was like, “Man I wish I could change out weapons so I don’t have to buy another one, and my wife kill me for doing so.” Was nice to see others had done this and showing how to. Makes my pocketbook, and wife, much happier.

It’s 3mm. I used 3mm magnets everywhere on the Dreadknight. I must have lost my head partway through writing the article. (And I just fixed it so that all references say 3mm.)

I’ll also note that, three years later, the gun hoses still snap right over the elbows, and the guns still stay in place without magnets or glue!
