It is probably more situational, but I can see it happening simply because there only really 3 cards you may feel bad about picking if you were gunning for a specific one. I think the number of encounter long buffs make it tempting to force it earlier in a big fight. I am more than willing to play test it though.

Willing to get bloodied will also change as we level. At lvl 2 if we are not getting bloodied, you are probably doing it wrong (mentally adjusting to this from our LFR game is tough), but say at lvl 9, a char will probably need to get in harms way to force the proc.

I don't really think a chance at one of the effects is worth getting Bloodied on purpose, but I guess we'll see what happens when it gets into the game...

I think the only 'bad' part is most of the cards are good enough that it is super tempting to force the one believer in the party to put himself in danger. That is, big boss fight, hey Sandkicker show me the power of you "god" and get punched in the face a few times. I would suggest fixing this by reworking the number of 'until the end of the encounter' cards or maybe stacking the deck with more of the 'less' desirable cards like the second wind one.

I liked where they went with the romances, but overall I felt like the interaction w/ the companions was lacking. I really liked the camp idea in DA:O and I wish they'd let me put all my companions in the same place instead of having to visit them at their bases. I feel like I didn't get to talk to them enough. But the party banter was great.

I loved that Hawke had a voice. The VA was good, but not as good as FemShep from ME.

I liked the story in Mass Effect 2, but admittedly I was paying attention to all the characters a lot and not so much to the things the weird Wall Street CEO with glowing eyes was telling me.

To be honest, when I saw that analogy I thought it was going to be 'better gameplay but weaker story'. I enjoyed ME1 more than ME2 because I actually wanted to stop Saren, and ME2 just didn't give me any enemies that I cared about nearly so much. The guy you're supposed to hate is ostensibly on your side; the Big Bad only shows up long enough to possess a grunt and get killed, over and over; the end boss is something you hadn't seen at all up until that point.

I'm hoping it just suffered from being the middle game in a trilogy and that ME3 will do better.
