Okay, this is post inauguration; but, Rick Warren delivered a lame prayer of benediction as prayers go.
Obama could have better been served by Rob Bell a more socially relevant pastor on a mega church level in Michigan. Bell is young, not judgemental like most in the religious right category, but then he(Bell) would have been considered too much of a leftist even if he is considered the next Billy Graham. Oh well.

[...] As I mentioned yesterday, Kevin Drum thinks Obama should try to encourage more substantive discourse in the press by granting access to really smart, penetrating journalists — regardless of the size of their viewership / readership. Now we hear that the president has granted his first full interview since taking office to Al Arabiya. And it was an interesting, substantive interview. What we learned more than anything from this interview, is that Obama isn’t coming to the table with some interesting new solutions to the problem. He’s basically endorsing some sort of vague two-state solution. But his approach to the process is in line with the Democracy in America post I quoted yesterday. [...]

while i am against the pardon, many democrats supported the pardon as well, it wasnt simply the cause of nuts like tancredo and dobbs. and most importantly... the smuggler was not killed, he was shot in the buttocks!!

Saving may not be ideal for a quick economic jump-start, but it will help our economy in the long run. So yeah, one way or another they help. At some point, though, we'll have to start thinking about the deficit again.
