I think for a messiah of such proportions, speech as proof of the messianic nature is insufficient. These days, many people can deliver powerful speeches, learn the scriptures and much more, and synthesize and generate out-of-this world ideas, but it doesn’t mean that they are divine. There are a couple of people I know, who are thought to be Jesus as well, and they too say things that can catch your attention, or at least, make you want to see what’s going on. They might simply be expert in this area. Experts are believed to be recipients of God’s gifts, by some, though they do claim that they had to work real hard, step by step, to achieve such a high level.

Saw the movie last night on national tv; I have been totally oblivious living in South Africa. Because of this, I watched with an open mind. However, I became increasingly uneasy as the movie progressed and my beliefs were being challenged one by one. This morning I turned to my pc for answers and came across this forum and other reviews. Wow, I have truly been led by the Spirit to receive the answers to last night’s questions (which were so very subtly raised in my spirit by the deceiver). I praise Jesus for filling this lonely easter weekend with so much bread for my life in Christ! Naive I may be to some ‘thinkers’ and ‘worldly-wise’, but I believe in the triune God and hold his Word as the compass to my life. It is just so much simpler to cast all my burdens on Him, as He never, ever lets me down (as my feelings so often do). Thank you, Ron, for the love and tolerance that your answers radiate. I AM NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST!

It’s too bad when, Jesus, supposedly walked the earth, and was showing people his true divine nature, not that many people saw it because there was no television or some other means to record the spectacles at the time. Thus, the lucky ones, who actually witnessed him, had a difficult time proving to those, who did not, what they saw. Something to take into account as well…

If the Scriptures are indeed an actual account of Jesus, then it seems to me that he actually did prove empirically, by manipulating the physical matter on the material level, that he was indeed Jesus. By performing such miracles as resurrecting the dead, walking on water, healing people instantaneously, and communicating with God, who appeared in the sky, he actually proved, who he claimed to be as well as the existence of God.

This leaves with one issue…Can we accept the Scriptures as documentary evidence of Jesus or do we, at least, doubt it. Because believing that those records are not fabricated or falsified, is pretty much trusting people. And, oh my god, do they lie and cheat!!!!

Example…Just yesterday, I posted a comment on this blog talking about this realization…and it was removed…Too much of an eye-opener, I guess….

According to Scriptures, provided they are not fabricated, Jesus actually had to prove to people EMPIRICALLY, by manipulating the physical environment, that he was Jesus by performing all those miracles. It wasn’t initially faith-based. Supposedly, people actually saw him resurrect the dead, heal and repair the sick instantaneously, walking on water, talking to God, who actually appeared in front of a crowd, when the sky opened up, and so on.

At this point, this is the thing that distinguishes Jose Miranda from Jesus 1. If Jose Miranda could do something like this as well, meaning providing this kind of physical proof, this would totally kill those, who don’t get the impression that he might be Jesus 2. People will respond really well to something like this.

I, just discovered this book by chance a few days ago. I listened to most of it and there are a lot of things that rang through as truth that I could relate to, except when a lot of contradiction poped up. My God is not a God of Confusion, I can accept by faith, the mystery of what I am not able to understand, but I don’t get confused with what is that I need to do, once I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and one who has saved me, (paid for my sins, in order to be just)

How can this book, quote Jesus, yet ignore most of what he told us. This book is another New Age idea trying to justify anything that anyone wants to do, yet pretends that human being will choose the right thing to do if they just follow their feelings. I have mistakenly held the same belief for many years of my life, that my feelings defined what was true about me. It took a lot of pain to finally discover that my feelings are not what is true about me. When I know what is right and do it even if I don’t feel like it, eventually the feelings come. Because I don’t trust my feelings, they can come and go without upsetting my life and cause me to question myself over and over, making me look for something else that makes me feel good. This book kept telling me, to just follow my feelings, which ones? I went looking for some other opinions about these books and I am glad I found you.

I received a similar letter from the same “pastor” about another event being held in March 2013. I am so glad I found this posting as well as others from speakers who received emails like the one you received. I was about to make travel arrangements, when I saw the strange wording on the contract the “pastor” provided. He wanted me to pay for a work permit and submit money. He also wanted me to give my bank info and allow my speaker fees to be “direct deposited” into my account. Red Flags everywhere!
