the cones for the cupcakes were store bought. the ones in the small cones are kid size cones. you will want to fill them up about half way with cupcake batter rather than 3/4 of the way because it will overflow and make your cone soggy. then stand the cones up in cupcake tin with batter in it and bake it for the amount of time of cupcakes. allow to cool completely before frosting it. the frosting i made cream cheese frosting because it’s white. i used the largest star cake decorating tip for the large cones and a smaller round tip for the smaller cones. let me know if you have any other questions.

Wow that is such an impressive market – athlough the guns and knives are quite scary! We didn’t have a long weekend here although we managed to fit in a BBQ with friends and then a family lunch on Sunday.

Wow, that book looks amazing! I am too a self taught seamstress and still learning all the time! This book would def be a good refresher course. I have never known of a fellow blogger that lives so close. I was so sure I was just about the only blogger in north georgia. (just kidding) I am approximately an hour north of atlanta near Rome, GA. I may have to pick this book up and than run down to that book signing! I would love to join the evening sewing but my 7 month old would make that a bit difficult.

P.s. I have never owned a sewing book before (sad I know) so I cannot tell ya which my favorite would be!

wow…just found this and LOVED it! Everything that was said is the absolute truth. Our fourth child was born this past January with DS and after learning the diagnosis the first thing the maternal fetal specialist gave us was a list of doctors who terminate up to 24 weeks. We were devastated and thought the right thing to do would be terminate (or why would the dr encourage us too?). Thankfully we did our research before we made that choice and now have the cutest little bundle of baby sweetness we can’t believe we almost let go…
Her brothers and sister adore her and my dreams are for her to go out and do it…not sure what the IT is yet, but I know she’ll do something truly amazing in the world…

You have my sympathy. I really freak over ants in the house. We don’t have fire ants, but, rather, carpenter ants. They don’t hurt people, but they do a job on the house AND they are huge. Hang on! It will get better.

As a former flight attendant, I never left home without a one-piece bathing suit. Regardless of the season, it is one staple that can serve in many other ways than the obvious. It can be worn as a camisole, extra layer for warmth, used as workout/exercise wear, hot tub, or as an undergarment if your stay exceeds plans.
And if flights are delayed or cancelled, you can kill time at the pool isntead! Pack one for the kids too!

We just spent almost 2 months with my mother-in-law while looking for a house, and we got along swimmingly! She just sent us a care package with walnuts, french bread, and beach towels for the kids just because. She’s never told me how I “should” be doing things, and has always treated me like an equal. Aren’t great inlaws a blessing?

Whatever is going around is catching up with us too. We recently had our oven therm. broken, a week later the garage door spring broke, (thankfully we don’t park our cars in there like it’s intended purpose or else we would have been stuck w/o our only car), and today driving home from a huge purchase from Costco in blistering heat with my 2 little ones, our car does a weird shaking thing like it’s going to go out on me. We took it to get an oil change because it was due and the guy said we should have our transmission looked at because the fluids are darker than usual. Way to top everything off! Money goes money goes…

Hopefully things will be better from here on out. Thankfully you didn’t have bugs in your bed. Bugs/ants freaks me out!

Eek. Yuck. So sorry. Car troubles are the worst (and so expensive and always take longer than they say) and ants are super gross. Glad you didn’t have car trouble on your trip and your house is bedbug and flea free. Guess it can only get better from here.
