I hope things improve for your mom and you. i've never had a full blown anxiety attack though I do take medication for social anxiety, so while I can't put myself in your shoes, you have my sincerest sympathies. Try to let the abuse about your pets roll off your shoulders. While pets are a financial burden they more than make up for that with the affection and solace they offer.
