Hi, Jeff. Glad the post helped. Try replacing "timestamp" with "created." If that doesn't work, I'd try leaving the user registration date out.

INSERT INTO wp_users
(user_login, user_pass, user_nicename, user_email
SELECT
name, pass, name, mail)
FROM users;

Greetings- These directions are great, but for step 2, which inserts users, I get this error "#1054 - Unknown column 'timestamp' in 'field list'". What might I be doing wrong? I'm using the exact same versions of drupal and wordpress that you listed.

Thank you!

Hello, I am in the same boat you are, mulling a switch from Drupal to Wordpress. After upgrading just once, I don't like investing so much effort in maintaining third-party modules. If a drupal site uses only core modules, things are much easier, but who wants to do that? Does Wordpress have a similar problem?

Could you also perhaps update the article with your platform and version numbers? For example, my production server is linux, but for testing at home I am on Windows with Apache 2.2.2, MySQL 5 and PHP 5, with Drupal 4.7.6 at the moment.

Other than posts and comments, did you move anything else over?

Do you expect a Drupal migration support anytime soon?

If anyone's interested, I have a work-in-progress page of open source software <a href="http://www.slanttruth.com/source-downloads/" rel="nofollow">here</a>. Now that I think about it, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to do something similar more related to web design and development here?

btw, i use smultron. While it is strictly for those who like to hand-code everything, i like the way it can be used to organize your code into projects or sites. I use it in conjunction with Cyberduck. With the two combined, it didn't take me long to get off my Dreamweaver addiction:)
