Well folks I couldn't agree more with the sentiment here. I won't buy Cadbury anymore period. Try the Coles brand belguim chocolate as an alternative - its the last remnant of that creamy taste we all used to love.

I notice Cadbury have commissioned a marketing study that shows we all say they're the best... it's a little bit of PR spin trying to tell everyone who doesn't like it that we do like it. Thankyou Mr Cadbury, but eriously the new bitter aftertaste is crap.

Anyway, in my world Cadbury now tastes like crap. :)

ha ha 'on the go consumption'... "spin".

Thank you Mr Cadbury, I'd never truely appreciated the Mars Bar's chocolatey yumminess, and I'd sold Nestle short because it was too sweet. But now you've made chocolate that leaves this weird bitter taste in my mouth...

Bad Mr Cadbury. No money for you this financial year... :(

I'll be shopping elsewhere thank you very much. On the go consumption without even a Cadbury in the car. Brillant.

Touché!
If I wanted to eat chocolate like this I'd head down to the Reject Shop and buy a wheelbarrow full for $2.

I love the "spin" they put on the new sizes on their website.

• The 150g block has been re-sized to 100g/110g to be perfect for ‘on the go’ consumption.

• The 250g block has been re-sized to 200g/220g to be perfect for family sharing.

• The 400g block has also been re-sized to 350g to be perfect for social sharing.

Yeah, 30-50g less product makes it just perfect for my family. Geez, I'm glad they did that.

Nice try guys but even the average consumer can see through your fancy comments.

I totally agree with your comments, changing the taste was a big mistake, I couldnt work out why it tasted funny and after checking up on the web I now know why. Cadbury sucks big time and needs to listen to the consumers. You have lost my custom and I love chocolate.

Mmm I've had 'bloom' before, but that's also a marketing faux pas on Cadbury's part. Not only did they reduce size, hike price and change your recipe Gary, they failed to ensure you got a block in 'eating order' to boot. Go Cadbury, batting 1000... :)

I see Mars Bar this week are becoming 15% smaller and they claim it's to be more healthy... seems to be the new pitch. It's just putting spin and spit to the cost cutting of confectionary production processes and telling us that it's for our own good.

Same thing is happening over here in New Zealand. We used to get beautiful, smooth, creamy tasting Dairy Milk from Dunedin (way down south). Now we are getting the new crap from Australia.

I wrote to Cadbury about the change and they just said the chocolate had been mishandled by the wholesalers and retailers, who had exposed it to heat or sunlight. They told me the problem was white discolouration they call 'bloom'. Like hect is was 'bloom'.

They've reduced the size, hiked the price and changed the recipe. I won't be buying it again.
