Michelle Stevens is one of my all time favourite supermodels. When I think of my childhood – I see her beautiful face from the magazines my mother would read! Thank you for a great site – love it & all the memories that fashion magazines from the late seventies to the early 90s brings me.

Talk about a “moment in time.” Some years ago we worked together on a Bonwit Teller shoot in New Orleans. I was the local liaison who coordinated the locations and even drove the motor home. Winter clothes in a New Orleans summer. Yikes!

I was the most envied guy in N.O. as all the models (and I) attended an Ella Fitzgerald concert in the Blue Room at the Fairmont Hotel. You had also remembered I commented on a pair of sunglasses I admired and gifted me a pair before you left town. What else do ! remember? You were easily one of the most beautiful women I had ever seen, and had a personality that was captivating. I can’t possibly tell you what caused your name to pop into my head tonight, but I’m delighted to have found you through the “magic” of the Internet.

I’ve found it important in recent years to let people know they’ve had some impact on my life. I guess this was your turn. Nice to see you, even if it was in digital format.

Oh Debra! I am so sorry I don’t recall seeing your message! I wish I had your memory! I remember the school, of course, and I love that you remember my love for cats! Wow, what a sweet comment! I am so touched you remember me after all these years. I am also happy to hear I was an inspiration for your talent, and your girlfriend’s. What was the store where we met? I loved the Village, East and West. They had great macrobiotic restaurants in both sections, so I spent so much time down there. It was my favorite part of NY, really.

Hello Eva,

I was lucky only once back the early 80′s. I was just out of school (Fashion Illustration at FIT), working at the Antique Boutique. You came in and we did a transaction for a pair pants. The best reward for years of seeing you in Vogue. My then, GF LIsa and I were always sketching you. She worked in gouache, myself in pencil. You’re a perfect example of the Fashion Figure…and quite kind as well. Thanks for the thrill! A NYC treasured memory from my crazy early E.Village days. Glad to see your photos posted!

Hi Eva~
We were child hood friends!
I do not know if you will remember me, but I will try to jog your memory.
We both attended Bret Harte in Burbank and I lived on Hollywood Way. You lived in an apartment with your mom and you loved cats : )
I was short, skinny and went by the name Debbie. My hair was auburn.
