That is wonderful that your Dad came through his surgery well. I hope his recovery is quick and he is back to his self soon.

From a young age we’ve let the boys have one on one time with there grandparents. They spend the night on a monthly basis(usually one at a time over the course of the month). They get to go for an afternoon and just hang out, sometimes daily. I am fortunate though that my parents live very close to us. (3 miles) My in-laws don’t see the boys as often, there are issues there. I hope that Jonah gets to have that one-on-one time and to bond with his grandparents, it was something I was able to do with my Great-Grandma, and I will always cherish those times, they keep her with me.

the only one i can do is one my Dad used to sing to me, nice and short:

We went to the animal fair,
The birds and the beasts were there,
The big baboon by the light of the moon
Was combing his golden hair.

ran up the elephant’s trunk;
