my grand pa is suffering from this and granny can not tolerate this they have fights regularly, i even tried to pull a spiritual programme through http://fundoosh.in policies but all in vain, some suggested that grandpa and granny needs a vacation and some says they need a separation. but i wish to god that this type of disease should not happen to any one. at least not to humans.

The Caregiver's Voice truly understands and is supportive and informative. This is a 26-hour day, when you have to care for someone with Alzheimer's Disease. What helps Ms. Avadian serve others better is her own experience taking care of her father who had Alzheimer's Disease.

Similiar scam happened to my mom a few months ago. A caller purporting to be her nephew called and stated he was in jail in Mexico and his lawyer needed $7,000 to get him out. First clue was that the "nephew" called my mom grandma, which we never have called her....second clue was that my mom was to send the money via Western Union to a phone number in Mexico, and that she was not to tell anyone about this. Mom went to the bank but had trouble figuring out how to do the Western Union so she called a friend who told her to stop immediately...the police were called. The lawyer for the "nephew" called back and my mom told him she had called the police, the lawyer immediately hung up. Even though my mom now knows this was a scam she still thinks it was sort of a game and perked up her day...she does know now (I hope) to call us if this or anything similiar happens again....Ahh, the joys of aging. Thanks Brenda for bringing this scam up on your site.

Hi Mrs. Claire!

Thank you for sending me this! I am so glad that Mrs. Linda nominated you. You are a wonderful caregiver to Grandma Anne and an excellent example to others of what honoring our parents looks like in its outworking. :)

Love, Katie
