I am wrong. I attributed the worst blog on this site to another story. I correct myself - this is, by far, the WORST and most pointless blog on the site.

WIth all that is going on in the country, is this REALLY the best you can do? Commenting on Jenna Bush and Rupert Murdoch publishing a novel? What exactly is the social relevance of this blog? Is it really that important, given all that we are confronting as a nation?

Let's keep our eye on the ball here - we have a congress run amok, starting with Pelosi and Reid. We are debating Health Care Reform when our economy is crippled with job losses. Where's the CHANGE we were promised? Why aren't you shouting from the rooftops for a jobs bill NOW? Why is Barack Obama waiting until next month to hold a summit on jobs? Shouldn't we have been doing this back in February? Instead, we are mired in a pointless and impotent debate on health care reform, and posting blogs about children's book authors.

No wonder our country is in such dire straits. Jeez, I'm glad most educated Pennsylvanian's go to Penn State instead of Bloomsburg for journalism.

You're in moon sand with 50 men to five tolits, hot tents,no ice, packaged meals and short men to fight the Taliban seeing miles of poppy fields. This is not a mission of accomplishment to do more with less and let's get the job done and home safely.

Great article, but I found the beautiful pictures of Oregon to interfere with the flow.

Thom Hartman and Carl Wolfson frequently talk about the flawed initiative system on Portland's KPOJ http://www.620kpoj.com/main.html but I don't think they have mentioned the Freedoms' Work connection. I am forwarding this to them.

What is concerning is the duplicity of the Obama administration on the conduct of the war.

He ran on the premise that it was a necessary war, yet fails resource it. Military experts in counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency make the requests, but it becomes politicized - not much unlike the Vietnam war. The reason: Obama feels he must make his mark with health-care first. He lacks the political capital he needs to resource the war, b/c he spent it all on health care. So he needs a "win". It illustrates he lacks the gravitas to do the right thing in Afghanistan.

What is shows is that we have a president who is good at campaigning, but is far short on substance. He is another Jimmy Carter. Maybe Habitat for Humanity will be more Obama's calling...

Berry,

That was one of the worst articles I have ever read. It had no coherent theme, was completely devoid of any fact, and only filled with your personal vitriol for Republicans and Rush Limbaugh.

Please elevate your discourse. This is the type of partisanship that is killing this country, and you are only making it worse.

The NFL decides who becomes an owner not the other way around.

All this blowhard (Rush Hudson Limbaugh A.KA. Jeff Christie) has to offer is his money and his opinions, (which in my opinion are on the fringes of racism, one mans opinion). There are many more groups biding for the Rams, not just his group. Lets face it there are more men with money (Marshall Faulk) that will gladly fill the slot and the Rams will win or lose depending on how well they work as a team and not on whether or not Rush is an owner.

As for Vick, well he is a player (he has talent not like you, Rush or I, unless you are a NFL player?) and he served his time and the NFL decided we live in the land of second chances, so why not (I personally don’t like it but, oh well). Life has never been fair (NEWS FLASH!)

Now as to the “Free Speech” argument, I guess many of you like myself heard Rush on Thursday “Almost in tears”, priceless. But the last couple of days he now is in his normal ranting and will continue until someone surpasses him, “Free Speech” continues, so what is being stifled, it simply is not true, of course, you may not have a radio, so you might want to get one.

PS – I am sure someone is working to put the tapes together maybe all you subscribers can help, since you are all about getting to the truth?

PPS- Beauty Pageant Judge – Now I understand why he lost the weight, to find a new wife, creepy.

Mr. Craig,

We will have to disagree on the causes of the Civil War. President Lincoln did not have the authority to end slavery and withoug Congressional majorities her simply didn't have; could not have ended slavery. There had to be other causes. But we can discuss this at another time

Do you really think the Republican attacks on President Obama are significantly worse than those attacks on either Presidents Clinton or Carter? Given now there is a Fox "News" and RW radio to trumpet the attacks and run them 24/7; but the substance of the attacks are no worse than have been used in the past. Remember they accused President Clinton of being a murderer. So it isn't as much as issue of President Obama being Black, though there certainly is an aspect to it. Rather President Obama is a Democrat and that is what the Republicans can't abide.

As Democrats of the Democratic Party, we join together in seeking reform within the Democratic Party.

Many Democrats already know their elected representatives within the Democratic Party are no longer following in the time-honored footsteps laid down by the founding fathers of our great Nation.

More importantly, we as democrats see our elected representatives within the Democratic Party abandoning the values and principles as set forth within the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States.

At the very least, many of our elected representatives within the Democratic Party are no longer abiding to the sole reason the Democratic-Republican Party was founded by Thomas Jefferson - "Strong state governments with a weaker federal government."

This is only the beginning of our problems as Democrats, for many of our elected representatives within the Democratic Party are Socialist with their own agendas over the members of the Democratic Party, our Nation, and the American people. Overall, many of them no longer think of themselves as being our elected representatives, and now refer to themselves as leaders of Socialism in the true form of tyrants.

Most Democrats already know their pleas are only being answered by repeated insult and injury by their elected representatives within the Democratic Party. Despite this, we as Democrats can restore control of the Democratic Party back to the party members. All we need to do is cut off donations to the local, state, and national headquarters of the Democratic Party, and to make sure the donations are made directly to patriotic and honorable Democratic Party candidates that are not Socialist.

So spread the message to everyone of our fellow Democrats, for the Democrat members are taking back control of the Democratic Party from the Socialist tyrants. Also, please don't forget to contact and request the Unions and other outside contributors to follow our lead as patriotic Americans.

Thank you, and God Bless America.
