Even though both of my representatives and Senators are Republicans, it's better than having no ability to vote for representation at all. Much of it is a result of the fact that the District is overwhelmingly Democratic and thus granting a seat would provide a guaranteed Democratic vote, but nonetheless there is no reason to disenfranchise hundreds of thousands of residents.
