hei Lucas.

I've been trying here, but I'm new to ICE. The problem is with the construction stack, so i just draged the envelope to the simulation area. It doesn't work either, but deforms. I don't know where there could lead. just sharing a thought.

[big thanks for all the knowledge of your podcasts! ^^]

Hi Ed, that has to do with the GetDataAtPreviousFrame problem referenced above. There's a few workarounds mentioned, but all take a bit of setup on your end. If anyone can come up with a different way of doing everything in one Ice tree in 2010, let me know and I'll post it.

hi

i'm just trying to apply the smear in Softimge 2010 SP1, and i can't link the Get Point Position of the enveloped mesh with the Set Point Position in the Simulated ICE Tree of the mesh to be smeared.

the first is cylinderEnveloped.PointPosition and the second is self.PointPosition, but ICE don't allow me to connect them. any help?

Would you please translate your blog into Italian since I'm not that comfortable reading it in English? I'm getting tired of using Google Translate all the time, there is a little WP plugin called like global translator which will render all your pages automatically- this would make reading articleson your great blog even more pleasant. Cheers dude, Online Education Guide!

Hi Maja, thanks for the comment! If you haven't seen it yet, check out my Learning Animation FAQ: http://blog.pigeonimpossible.com/?p=239 That talks about a few of the programs and what to focus on while you're learning. Unfortunately there isn't one specific program that does everything. I currently use around 10, and I still have to write a lot of my own tools to do the things I need. The best thing I can recommend is to just keep practicing and don't worry too much about the software. Its far more important to develop your own skills than to master a particular program. Good luck!

Hi, my name is Maja and I am 10 years old. I love your animation! I love making animations as well, although mine aren't very professional and detailed. I have them on youtube and they get about 1 view per week..And that is most likely my parents showing them to our friends.

Well, anyway. When I am older I would like to work for an animation program, say Pixar..But before I am like 30, I would like to make mini detailed animations. I have alot of spare time, so I don't mind if it takes me a longtime. Could you please tell me any programs that you think are easy-ish to use and can make really great animations that are DETAILED?
Please?
Thanks alot and I love your animation.
