I just began using the service called <a href="http://www.toodledo.com" rel="nofollow">Toodledo</a> recently and it support GTD fully as far as I know. More free features than Remember The Milk, has a free iPhone webapp (ToDo by Appigo is a 3rd party native iPhone app which syncs with it but does not yet support Contexts, which Toodledo does support). Very customizable, flexible, and feature-rich! I paid $15 for one year of the Pro version which support SSL and subtasks.

I'm a little late to the party - but there are quite a few of them. Batchbook - Relenta or even Highrise may do the job for you. We reviewed quite a few as part of our series of online contact managers (<a href="http://www.salesteamtools.com/online-contact-management-software/" rel="nofollow">http://www.salesteamtools.com/online-contact-management-software/</a>)

Hope this helps.

Though admittedly accessible only through a Firefox Greasemonkey plugin and script (thus likely not very accessible to non-tech GTD users), the following discussion adds a lot to the organization of tags into project/context groups.

I just started using Agenda Fusion and love it! I keep finding more and more ways to customize the views. It is very graphical, so it may appeal to those who like to see events color coded and marked with icons. However, even with the colors and icons, the appearance of the screen is very "clean" and uncluttered.

One thing that appeals to me is how everything (and I mean everything) seems to be customizable. There are all sorts of ways to organize tasks and calendar appointments. It only took me about 15 minutes of playing around with Agenda Fusion to find the presentation/format I like best.

However, despite the many ways to customize the program, Agenda Fusion was incredibly easy to learn and use. I am NOT very tech-savvy...until very recently, I was a paper calendar devotee. Agenda Fusion is quite intuitive and easy to master, even for someone who lacks PDA experience. (Developer One also has a basic user guide on its website, which was helpful, but not really necessary, given how easy the program is to learn.)

I use Trog Bar/Outlook on my desktop computer at home. My existing data tranferred smoothly into the Agenda Fusion format...there were no errors that I noticed. Also, the fields used in Trog Bar/Outlook closely match those in Agenda Fusion, so I did not lose details or get any strange results. During the day, the additions/changes I made on my PDA seem to have transferred without any glitches when I synced in the evening.

I recommend Agenda Fusion, particularly to those who tend to be more visual in how they organize their time and tasks.

There are many many CRM solutions out there. I am not familiar with any that match the feature and price range of Oprius AND support multiple users.
You may want to try SalesForce.com.
It is also Browser based. It support multiple users and isn't too expensive.

True. Cross platform compatibility is a definite advantage. The two biggest issues with using a service like Hyperoffice however are:

1. Bandwidth. You're not going to get the same speed over the internet that you can with a client based application.

2. No Internet = No syncing.

Otherwise a browser based solution could be a lot better.

Thanks for your input Pankaj!

I believe the name comes from this statement.

"It's one thing to write down that you need milk; it's another to be at the store and remember it."

This statement is on page 45 of paperback version of GTD.

It's probably called "Remember the Milk" because you can use it to remind yourself to get milk while you're out. That was probably the idea anyway.

I could also be a feeble attempt to eliminate bovine abuse in dairy parlors, but somehow I doubt that.

Don't get me wrong, RTM is an excellent product. There are just a few issues I have with the interface.

1. Hotkeys take time to learn. Most people don't want to spend what little time they have to learn them. I'm a geek and use hotkeys all the time but most GTD and TRO users aren't Geeks. They're average people trying to get the most out of their time. Hotkeys do NOT make an application intuitive, they only make things more accessible IF you already know it's there.

2. I'm referring to a list of tags that can be selected to view the items tagged as such. I'm aware of the box on the overview page showing tags and lists in it but the alternating size text and unsorted view make it difficult to find your tasks categorized as "Errand" if you have 50 categories.

Thank you for your feedback. I'll add the reference to the hotkeys in the article.

regarding your complaints on user interface:

Most of the issues you cite are available through keyboard shortcuts:

* 't' will create a new task in the current view (if you're in a smart list, the task will automatically get the smart list criteria)
* 'm' will turn on multi-edit: you can select multiple tasks and then add tags, change the due date, etc.

I'm not sure what you mean about not being able to view tasks with a given tag: there's a box in the right-hand column that lets you click tags and bring up a search for each one.
