I'm of the same thought. I understand that there isn't much to see at the site now but I will definitely keep an eye on it and see what this marketplace does in the future.

I'd've thought that anonmymity is exactly what you don't want in these kind of transactions. I'm much happier to send cash to someone I already know on Twitter than to someone who I don't even know who it is.

Anyway, will be interested to see where they take the idea in the future. Adam seems pretty switched on.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review and write about our site, YouHaveIWant.com.

While we do intend to leverage social media like Twitter and Facebook, this is only a small part of the YHIW platform. Our features and services will streamline the exchange process between two parties. We have identified many stumbling blocks within traditional P2P commerce sites such as eBay and Craiglist, and we aim to provide a more efficient and enjoyable experience.

Again, as pointed out in the blog post, we are still in Beta. In fact, we are just getting ready to announce a soft launch, which we plan to unveil with a new look and an improved feature set.

The whole team at YouHaveIWant is appreciative of your post and very receptive of your feedback.

Thanks!

Shortly after I wrote this post, I got my first negative in ages as well, from someone with less than 10 feedbacks. *sigh*

I am seeing the same thing. My e-mail note did wonders for my DSRs, and then in the last 3 months, I have had more and more bad feedback situations - all without the customer e-mailing me first. I am not sure what to do about it - other than say I think eBay has a hand in it. I think they do not actively encourage communication and, in fact, at times seem to encourage a complaint process instead of communication.

I also think some buyers just do not read the inserts - as they do not read the ads. I had one who dinged me on shipping time. From end of auction to his hands in less than 4 days... and he dinged me on shipping time. I asked him about it and he told me that he gave me a 3 - "Right down the middle" he says - clearly showing he doesn't understand a 3 is not good at all. (He is blocked, if 4 days from win to mail box is not good enough, I do not want him bidding on my items.)

I find the buyers that leave neutral and negative feedback are usually customers with low feedback numbers. I don't think they have a clue. I sell jewelry and I don't take returns..there are too many women out there that wear it then return it. I had a customer call me last week and was very upset about 2 bracelets she bought. They were stretch rhinestone and some stones came out. She told me she was on her way to leave negative feedback but just decided to call me. I was glad she did. I don't want unhappy customers. I refunded, of course and explained to her that through Paypal, you always have a safety net. She didn't know that. I was glad she called..she was glad she called. As far as feedback goes, I have mine set to leave feedback when they leave positive feedback. I'm always afraid to solicit feedbacks because maybe there's a problem..maybe not but I get annoyed when people ask me to leave feedback. I'm scared now because we're leaving on a trip and I'm having someone else pack for me..but you just can't be a slave to Ebay..

I have been having issues with buyers that are to lazy to click on the track and confirm link. then they open a buyers complaint on paypal without contacting me. This is happening more & more, l have no control over how fast the post office sends their packages
