I shower when the little one is napping. Sometimes, when I'm feeling well-rested (it's occurred once or twice) I get up extra-early and shower before EcoDad leaves for work. That, as I say, is a rare, rare event.

I didn't shower today. And in the taxi, en route to the Canadian embassy, I thought it was the taxi driver who stunk. I was a little horrified when I emerged from the taxi to discover that the scent was still with me... in fact, it WAS me.

In solidarity we stand.

You are so right when you said how the Christmas tree ... "stands as a physical reminder of people and events throughout our lives, which we wrap in plastic bubbles with greatest care, storing them away for eleven months, and bring out faithfully every year."

I still have treasured ornaments that I have had since I was a child , and that's over 40 years ago, and they are so special to me. Some of them were given to me by friends and family members that are now no longer with us, so they are even more precious to me.

Thank you! I didn't have a clear idea for the header at first, but then it grew, like a beautiful flower, and I'm just in LOVE with it now. We can get something going for you too, if you want. As for your experience with Apple broadcasting, it isn't flawless, I'll admit. It takes a little while to get your system in place for consistent success. I have had problems too! But I'm trending toward having more problems with cable.

I was totally with you on this... til I downloaded a bunch of shows via iTunes (and paid for them) and planned to watch them on a few recent plane trips. But each and every show was a garbled mess. The kiddie shows I've downloaded in the past are fine; but not these ones for me. So I'm now bitter, out a few bucks, and had to resort to in-flight entertainment (which, as I was flying Turkish Airlines, was utter crap.)
