The article is somewhat vague on the precise amount of fats, the kind of fats, and their cholesterol impact. Despite statements, I am more than a little skeptical when the article begins "mangia mangia"! In America, we have a phrase "lard ass". Is the author of the article suggesting that this phrase is inaccurate? I'd like to receive more detail on this claim.

Thanks for posting this. When we were in Florence, I saw a book in Italian about the mud angels but no English version. I have Dark Water on order. Hope you are doing well; we hope to be back in 2 years for one of my "milestone" birthdays.

In many places sand castles are forbidden because they obstruct the "walkway" and mess up the sand. Silence is never and option, except before 7am. I just read that beaches in Pietrasanta are being locked up at night, even the public ones.

Thank you so much for this! I plan to use it as 'show and tell' for my clients, who have great trouble understanding what an Italian beach is going to be like! They are envisioning building sand castles and walking serenely on the beach, picking up shells here and there with nothing but the sounds of waves to interrupt them.
