Ahh wasn’t sure if you were talking about netbook or not. I’ve never had a problem with 64bit linux, you can still run 32bit applications, it depends on the distro, flash works too. I’ve mainly only tried ubuntu, so it might be different running 32bit applications on other distros.

Not quiet understanding you.

I’m talking about MSI Wind Nettop (the desktop computer) not about MSI Wind Netbook (the small 10″ notebook).

I have the version with a single core, only hyperthreading. I have the “Lm flag” as you said. But didn’t tried it with 64 bits.

I’ve seen some benchmarks that proved that 64 bits are a little faster, but I don’t know how this 64 bits works in the Linux world. From my experience, 64 bits in Windows sucks (no drivers for some stuff, no software ready yet, like flash plugin, etc), so I always stick with the 32 bits version. That is why I’m reluctant in moving my Linux server (yes, talking about MSI Wind nettop) on 64 bits.

Not sure if the Wind is 64bit. Sometimes 64bit OS’s can be faster, it depends on what you are doing. The MSI Nettop 100 is a desktop barebone. Not sure if the Wind’s use the same processor. I also read that some intel atom 330 processors don’t do 64bit, or maybe the bios on the computer doesn’t support it.

64bit OS’s have always worked good for me, so I always use them if the computer supports it.

A dumb question.

What is the difference between 64bits and 32?
I mean what are the advantages and maybe the disadvantages from running in x64?

On my computers, I always keep my Windows in 32 bit version.

On my Wind, I have Slackware 32 bits. What I get from x64?

What you see in parentheses next to “Firefox” is your Firefox profile name. If you had a profile named “Wicked Cool,” you would see Firefox (Wicked Cool) listed there.

Our cheapest card is the Home 2GB, @ $49 You can start with that, and if you want to share online, add the WebShare service for $9.99. If you want to add geo or roaming, those are $14.99 each, per year. So you can start small, and then try services to make the card behave like a Share or Explore card

Once you go Eye-Fi, you can’t go back

That is an awesome drive. 4GB was sold out last time I looked. Kinda need a bit more than 4 for a DVD iso, so not a big deal that 8 is all that’s available.

It was the easiest laptop I’ve ever taken apart so far. The other laptops I’ve taken apart are at the dump, never put em back together, and most of em were really old, and given to me, well two of em anyways.

Yeah obviously its connected by VGA.

If you read the product page it clearly says “The VGA port can not be converted into DVI or HDMI through any adapter.”.

Guess you’d need a converter. No point in paying any money for that, when my TV has VGA.
