Things certainly seem to be trending that way…nutrition menus in fast food chains, talk of a soda tax in NY. One has to think that this is all going to happen to some extent in the near future.

Scientists at UC Berkeley & UCSF decode brain waves of words – Speech & Language Prosthetics in the future?: http://bit.ly/ycprfB – they talk about the neurobiology of sound coming in through the auditory cortex & getting relayed to the Super Temporal Gyrus & then they had 12 minutes while patients in tumor surgery were being operated on to do their testing in the STG. Interesting for a future that may include auditory prosthetics for those with speech & language disorders or for those who might like to upgrade to SIRI in the body. ; )

Love the question about sticking a mobile phone/cell phone in the body! As we know, this is probably going to happen… albeit not in the same way as implied.
