Looks good.Looking forward to seeing some pictures. If you're short of space, you can grow the squash in the same bed as the beans. I'll make sure i add u on my blogroll too. Cheers.

Thankfully it's been returned! Microsoft decided to ship me a new unit rather than wait for my unit to be repaired so I'm back playing Fallout 3! Happy days...

I'd join in on this, but the only book I have to hand has a paltry 48 pages.

And yet it has taken me over four years to read. For shame.

I never have any luck with canon UK customer service e-mails; they ask for a detailed description of the error but reply with a non committal automated answer, putting the onus on you to send it off for inspection and all subsequent costs.
I hope you find a way round it, it looks as though my 50mm will end up in the bin!

I've been back in contact with Canon this week, however their automated system doesn't let you reply to an open support request, so I guess I have to submit a new request and see if I can get a better response!

Unfortunately I do not have an answer but have the same error with my 400d and this lens, so will be interested if you find a solution! Mine worked fine on my old 350 body; I have only recently started to use it again; I can take one or two shots before it locks up telling me to reinstall battery.

I know what you mean, I've been 'borrowing' a Sigma 10-20mm EX DG lens to shoot some landscapes and it's great, but it doesn't feel as sturdy as some Canon lenses. That said my wife's Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens has just broken for the second time in around a year. Maybe it's time to start saving up for some Canon `L` series lenses...

Nice one! Sigma are a wild and crazy ride in that some of their lenses are the sharpest things you've ever experienced but then an equal if not greater percentage develop faults. I think that this is the reason they can afford to be cheaper than Canon and Nikon; their construction is of a lighter build quality and the control tests are less stringent. Looks like you've benefited from that! :) Enjoy the lens!
