Hi Melani –

On Koo-ki Sushi’s behalf, please accept my sincere apologies for your highly unfortunate experience. To be quite honest, I’ve never heard of anyone experiencing these problems with them before. I do know the company recently transitioned their brick-and-mortar operation to an online only website. My only possible guess is that your order may have been lost in the shuffle; however, this is no excuse for the lack of communication.

We have forward your note directly to the company management and hope that there will be a prompt resolution to your situation. Again, on their behalf, I am truly sorry you have had such a trying experience.

Best regards,

Melani

Sorry you had such a bad experience. It's been two years now since this review and I last place an order with Kooki Sushi, so I definitely can't speak for their current situation.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Unfortunately, my experience with Suedy's Kooki-sushi was an unpleasant one due to their "customer service" or should I say LACK of customer service. I placed an order with them over a month ago and have yet to receive my refund after canceling my order. I did this because my order failed to arrive on the expected date and after numerous attempts to contact the company for a status, I got simply got fed up with them dodging me. All the phone numbers including the fax number on their website are not in service. The only way I was able to contact them after they took my money was through email. If your lucky someone might actually write you back but I wouldn't bet on it if you want your money back. I am currently working with my bank to dispute the charges and possibly file a fraud claim with them for the services and merchandise they charged but never rendered to me. Be sure to request a signature for your order, otherwise they'll claim to have already sent it to you and blame it on FedEx. Good luck! I guess I'll just have to imagine what the chocolates would have taste like....it's no loss though. As a chocolate lover I found a quick rebound chocolate to indulge in....Chocolate peanut butter "wings" from the Chocolate Pizza Company. Now, they have excellent customer service and the delicacies are absolutely sinful :-)

[...] A little while back I posted a one-sentence Hitorigoto post about Kooki Sushi, and joked that I might have to order some for research. And then the coolest thing happened — they sent me some to try! The only thing I promised in return was to write a review. So here is my completely unbiased review of Kooki Sushi. And considering all the hub-bub about bloggers being paid for reviews and not disclosing it, let me restate that I have not been paid for this review, but I was provided with complimentary samples.
Erika,

I'd be more than happy to take you up on your offer. I was really impressed by the authenticity of the designs. It really looked liked sushi. If the taste of the chocolate is half as good as it looks -- I bet it's delicious!

I'll post a review and email the link to you when it's posted.

I sent my contact info via email. I'm also going to remove your contact information from the comment above, because I don't know that you want it Posted.

Hi Carly,

My names Erika and I'm the publicist for Kooki Sushi. I'm so glad the unique chocolates caught your eye. I'd be happy to send samples if you like so you can report your findings to your readers. Kooki Sushi has a brand new item for the holidays - Chocolate Kozara plates. Four delicate pieces of sweet & spicy sushi rolls (2 of each) are festively red & green, and served up on a chocolate plate - completely edible of course! Kooki Sushi's solid Lucky Cats are great stocking stuffers and New Year gifts too.

Let me know if I can have samples sent to you, and I'd love to know where you heard about Kooki Sushi.

Cheers,

Erika

Hurray! We finally have you back and as a married woman!
Welcome to the Married-But-Living-Life-To-The-Fullest Club! ;)

It was truly an amazing wedding and not only the wedding, but the couple of days leading up to it what just purely incredible (which was nothing experienced anywhere!). Normally, in whatever great wedding, you end up only bonding with those who you "happened to sit next to or meet" or "saw at the bar" which sometimes does not leave enough time to feel all the important people in the bride's and groom's lives.

Anyway, I will save more for later but well written... I still feel so honored to be part of such a wonderful event in both of your lives. I can just picture both of you in that lovely apartment!!!
