I got normal fake lashes on my wedding day and it was one of the best decisions i made. everyone commented on how great my eyes looked! So now I’m looking into semi-permanent ones. I wear contacts and the fakes were fine with them. I’m sure the semi-permanent ones will be too! For any of you debating, go for it!

Hey Mrs. Frenchie! I am SO excited to see a bride in paigely! I ordered it for my upcoming June wedding and I haven’t seen how it looks on anyone else or in professional photos. Would you mind sharing more of them with me? I’m starting to get nervous that I bought the wrong dress, mostly based on the way it looks on my crappy digital camera (and my mom not loving it). This post got me thinking about what our rehearsal will be like, and I almost picture pretty much all of us dissolving in tears. In our case, probably a good thing to get at least some of that out before the real thing!

Oh and about your rehearsal dinner “limited” menu - I would hope no one noticed or minded that it was limited, they were getting free food! In my very humble opinion, guests at any event where food is being served should be happy to be eating just about anything.

Our photographer submitted our photos (without telling us) to The Knot, and now we’re being featured in the Spring/Summer edition for our region (Missouri/Kansas)! I was so excited when our photographers called and told me. I was actually glad they didn’t tell us they were submitting them - because if they had, and then we didn’t get picked, I would have made myself crazy wondering why!

Sorry to hear about the death of your laptop. I had a similar loss of years of digital memories a ways back, and ever since I have been triple-backing all my photos online. I didn’t even think about backing my wedding planning work though, good tip! Also good tip on including pet boarding in your wedding budget total - that will be a big one for us!

Good job on such an affordable rehearsal dinner, I would not have imagined feeding people in the LA area could be done so frugally.

We’re also having a very small wedding with about six tables. I love that you decided to do table numbers anyway! These look like they’re going to be beautiful. I have to say, I don’t think we’re going to label our tables in any particular way because I’m a little worried that people would get confused and think that there was assigned seating, which there won’t be. Are yours just going to be part of the decor, or will there be a seating system as well? I love the look, good luck with them.

@Annie: If you’re making soy candles, and you want them to be 100% soot free, I wouldn’t recommend using paraffin wax to scent the candles. You can get scented oils for pretty cheap in a craft store. Good luck!

We make sweet, sweet music together; between the two of us we have the skills to write and record mostly anything. Cooking is another great one, though I have some serious training left before I match him, and we both love the movies. Traveling, exercising, hitting up bars and listening to live bands, working on our salsa moves, being outside…

Though I’m not a gym person or tech nerd and he’s not a literature nerd, we generally share a lot of interests!
