Thanks so much for taking the time to let us know about your use of the Through My Bible podcast. I stand by my words from that show and continue to smile when I hear his voice each time as well!

Blessings!

I didn't catch the episode where you guys talked about hourly "exercise" and stand up desks, but I was glad to hear the community feedback from this episode. So I thought I'd share what I used sporadically at Seminary and more often now in ministry to work standing up. See link below to my Google+ page. It's a bit bootleg, but "sitting is the new smoking," they say. It's a tabletop podium thing I found at a thrift shop. I also invested in a rubber mat to stand on since I'm usually in churchy shoes at the office.
In light of the hourly "exercise" thing, I have my computer's clock speak to me the time at the top of each hour. That's my reminder (for when I am sitting at the desk) to stand up a walk around for a few minutes.

Thanks for your work, Martin and Sallie!

Thanks for your mentions of two recent articles in this podcast episode. I like what you're up to with the podcast (wish I had discovered it much earlier). Congratulations on 6 years supporting churches in their technology needs and now beginning a 7th!

Thanks for the supportive mention of my "23 Church Podcast Ideas" article posted at Internet Toolbox for Churches. It was one of my more enjoyable articles to write. I appreciate your sharing it with your audience to get the ideas out in front of even more churches.

I have another podcast recommendation for your summer! It is actually an NPR radio show that also has some shorter podcasts, but all of their episodes are available online in podcast form. It is called Radiolab (http://www.radiolab.org/). They explore interesting phenomena from everyday life and for not so everyday life. They feature scientists and stories from people with personal experiences. The show is very well produced, it is actually an experience with sound that is really cool.

I would only caution one thing, they don't have a Christian perspective of science and creation, so occasionally (it is pretty rare) they will say some things that go against creation, so if you are listening with your kids, it would be good to have a discussion about it before and/or after listening.
