Next came the gum same deal 8 boxes with 2 trays in,1 peice - this shit is the most revolting stuff man ever made - 7.99 boxes in the bin, and then they decided lozenges would be the go for me, another 8 boxes same as before they tasted ok (just) but they are slimey for reasons unknowen - and i just dont do slimey in the mouth - 7 boxes in the bin. As a non 7th-day adventist, I could look at this as you trying to convince the select committee to give money to your church. The reality is that there are multiple ways to quit smoking and what works depends on the individual concerned. Tobacco kills all races and does not care who smokes it. I would prefer it if only one all inclusive group were funded as a quit smoking advocacy organisation. I know in the Emergency Department where I work we offer a first line intervention to smokers offering them information and help to get them in touch with advocates from quitline as well as a prescription for nicotine patches and gum. It will be interesting to study this to see how effective it is. My vested interest is purely medical in minimising risks for heart disease, stroke and a plethora of cancers. I also have concerns about young women in particular smoking for pregnancy related reasons as smoking increases pregnancy complications, low birthweight and premature babies. It also leads to increased respiratory disease in infants. While you might say I am troughing as I am lazy and want to work less, but I do not think it is fair that a child should have to suffer if their parents choose to smoke. technically though, you do have an interest in this industry, being the Quit Now programme.
