Good luck to you on your initiative. I also read about the case you mentioned – its sad and actually sickening. And as you say the authorities will probably sit on this as well – i will actually be happy if they prove me wrong.

I will take your word and send this to Thane plus, I sincerely thank you for this suggestion. Keep the good work on the Civilian front going, let our kids not face the same problems that we are dealing with today.

Hello , This is something I really wanted to do and actually had done a few months ago……not really the same ….but a forum for Civilian Problems. I really appreciate your effort and loved reading these posts…..
Well , but I have to say , that you did so , but kids won’t do this right ?
And anyways , just today ,I read an article in the newspaper stating that an auto-driver killed a passenger – though no reason was given…..the same old “investigating” excuse…..

And in such a situation , I don’t think that all of the people , especially the Senior and the Dependant citizens could have done anything……

So , maybe , we must publish this in any newspaper ,( Thane Plus takes in letters to the administrative body and makes sure that there are results.)

Hi Vivek, an interesting post indeed. Us Delhi-ites face the same problem. I think that the problem here is not the attitude of the auto drivers, but the response of people riding in them.

A lot of people pay whatever the auto driver asks and believe this behaviour to be a sign of sophistication.

We as citizens should STOP paying even a cent extra. We should call the police, demand a comlaint number, call again if it is not provided or if the cop is un co operative.
