In reply to Check It. Your first paragraph makes you sound like way more of a troll — not to mention an asshole — than n_asa. Have you considered that some cities have such a high cost of living that a hundred grand is only slightly better than a living wage?

Where do you live? A hundred grand is a lot! Unless you live somewhere with a really high cost of living. It isn’t “average”.

Also, how does being an actuary affect your social life? Does it wear you out too much to enjoy yourself after you clock out? Or do you mean purely because of all the studying you have to do when you’re still trying to do exams? (In which case, presumably that problem goes away once someone either passes them all or decides to stop.)

Thank you SO MUCH for writing this up! It was the only info I found on the internet which correctly helped me get my Kiyo Pro working.

I want to add something else: As of Nov. 7, 2025, Synapse 4 did NOT save the field of view setting (wide/medium/narrow) on the webcam itself, but Synapse 3 DID save it on the camera itself!

Before I use it with other apps I configure it with https://github.com/itaybre/CameraController and thus far it has worked great.

Thanks so much for this great. Guide. I was able set it up and Zoom it up to the max. Now the only issue, if I want to use Final Cut Pro, the Camera does not show up. I know it needs to be engaged to work but there must be a way to activate it without starting up another application that uses it.
