<p>&gt;&gt; Will you folks be able to get back to the Python driver which seems a bit out of date? &lt;&gt;Also the sqlalchemy adapter is for sqla version 0.4 but sqla version 0.7.7 is the current version&lt;&lt;</p>
<p>We are working on Python 3 support and you could expect a release soon. You can check the branch <a href="http://code.google.com/p/ibm-db/source/browse/#svn%2Fbranches%2Fibm_db_sa" rel="nofollow">http://code.google.com/p/ibm-db/source/browse/#svn%2Fbranches%2Fibm_db_sa</a> which has support for SA version 0.7.x . Jaimy Azle (jaimy.azle@gmail.com) who is developing and maintaining the branch will be able to provide you more details.</p>

I installed the DirectoryService from Snow Leopard to avoid the linkage errors. db2start works find without exceptions but when I try to connect using port 50001 i get the following error:</p>

<p>Will you folks be able to get back to the Python driver which seems a bit out of date? Also the sqlalchemy adapter is for  sqla version 0.4 but sqla version 0.7.7 is the current version</p>
<p>I&#8217;d like to try out DB2 12x but we&#8217;re a python shop and somehow, I just don&#8217;t feel comfortable with the db2 python and sqla adapters at this time</p>

After setting db2set DB2_COMPATIBILITY_VECTOR=MYS, nothing changed. Still trying to figure out how to get the LIMIT and OFFSET work.</p>

I bought the latest line which supports dual drives. I use a 128 Gig SSD as the primary for the OS &amp; a 700 gig hybrid, which runs at the same speed. With 8 gigs of ram, this machine is comparable to a loaded MacPro from just a few years ago. I&#8217;d say that&#8217;s plenty of power for development and then some.</p>

<p>I have the same problem on OSX 10.6.8</p>
<p>I fixed it creating a symlink to the OSX Java home and now db2fs works.</p>
<p> ln -s  /Library/Java/Home ~/sqllib/java/jdk64/jre</p>
