isPermaLink="false">http://www.happyschoolsblog.com/?p=21391#comment-75746

The biggest challenge is actually a bit tangled as they say verbal+awa they though come under common roof -> English.
We indian's are always good at maths :D ...well mostly are but the deciding factor is definitely is English. I myself was not good enough in english (i got 145 :( ) but i will suggest and tell you what i should have done with my experience .....my prep was very short I prepared for only about 3-4 weeks mostly maths in that time. The only effort i made in english was testing myself with mocks and reading vocab and reading on how to write awa and trying to write one or two ....somehow i managed with 307 which seems to be decent enough...i didn't make another attempt as coll deadlines was closing fast ...but at the back of my head i still had in my mind that i still did not perform to my potential :'( So i atleast want to put a word of caution to the aspirants who are preparing for GRE.
With my experience what i felt is the biggest challenge is PLANNING ... yes this sounds a bit weird but planning is one of the founding pillars ur prep should stand on. Plan for the exam well atleast four months before hand (if u want to transcend ur self in english).. trying sincerely and dedicating good amount of time is the minimal essentials here too ... make such a schedule so that the exam date will be atleast two months ahead of coll deadlines (so that u can take backup gre once again if things go awkward the first time for whatever maybe the reason)..quant is obviously scoring part and natural to u ppl so i gonna skip that prep..i wanna suggest u regarding the prep that sets u apart from other the VERBAL part.
Many might have suggested u to perfect yourself in vocab but from my experience i suggest you to start living with english ... what are you talking man?? :@........ this might be your expression but i tell this is the only way i found to make myself better with English... firstly i suggest you to take english paper (pref The Hindu) with you wherever you can .... read it when ever you can ...i know it sounds boring,if u feel so start with some good novels fictions mostly .... In that way u will slowly cultivate a habit to reading (and in the background u will develop a habit of comprehending fast) but i suggest u to end up with papers from novels (because that is how the topics in exams will be - soo formal, boring and difficult to understand ).as comprehending words fastly does not complete you here comes the second part
The second thing about english prep is as usual vocab (as everyone say)..though it is boring and time consuming believe me it is the only way to learn new words fastly (otherwise it takes yrs)...the fun part is when u start memorizing those words u will magically see them in papers books :O (as it happened for me and many of my friends) this will make u feel proud and happy (joy of upgrading ;) )......managing these two things and MOST important practicing mocks will surely complete u in all ways possible to crack verbal section (don't ask what all ways)
The final suggestion is Regarding AWA the only means to improve in awa is "Observe and reflect and become a wiser every day"..to break down it to u simply to u ...take some AWA prep book (those books will be available along with or in gre prep book) read some examples,see how the explanations they have given, in the next topic first write down ur perspective and read the given one, learn from it on how the matter should be presented. continue this cycle again and again till the end (of book or ur prep time) no other option.
I believe this prep will surely help you in toefl or ielts prep as well (only thing u need to prep especially there is just talking one-on-one or for two minutes on a topic)
phew! ... thats all i can suggest folks
note:
THE FOLLOWING SUGGESTIONS ARE AS PER ME LEARNT FROM MY CASE. IT STILL MAY WARY FOR MANY
GOOD LUCK !!!!

The biggest challenge is actually a bit tangled as they say verbal+awa they though come under common roof -> English.<br

Is H4 Visa holder can have a work permit? NO
What is the Impact of H4 Work Authorization after the New BILL PASSED on 2013?? We need to wait first for the BILL to pass. Right now it is in House of Representatives. Then we will have to read the language of the Bill. There is no such guarantee that House will pass the Bill in exactly same language. Some compromises may be there. It is also possible that Bill dont pass at all.

Is H4 to H1B Possible? YES

Is H4 Visa holder can have a work permit?
