Mr. Samatoshi, you seem to ignore something. Before the Communists set up the Soviet Union, Russia as such was there. After the collapse of the USSR, Russia is still there. Please do not confuse the evil Soviet Empire with Rodina, Mother Russia. Just as Nazi Germany was evil, so was the Soviet Union. Now that Russia and the other components of the defunct USSR are free countries, its citizens can go on living their lives as free citizens of free nations, without the almighty Soviet State telling them what to think, where to work, and even how to dress or what to eat. On the other hand, those who “bash” Russia are doing it out of sheer ignorance, since this forum is nothing more than a forum on “COLD WAR HISTORY”, not a place to bash this or that country. History is history, and those who forget it are condemned to repeat it.

tv_tg_love, Take your narrow-minded garbage and get the h*** out of my sight.

You sit here bashing the Russians and hinting that they’re evil, yet you fail to look right in your own back yard. Bush himself is running amok BIGTIME! As scary as it might sound to you(and others), we NEED Russia to rebuild it’s might and act as a counterbalance to the USA - otherwise what we’ve seen the American government do so far is only the begining. America WILL wind up becoming a country where the citizens exist solely at the whim of those in power.

USA then started to take control of the Russian Oil production resources and economy by corrupting the leaders (now the Oligarchs) teaching them how to turn the country resources to their own profit by privatizing.—Then when V.Putin came to power he had no choice but turn Khodorkosky to Jail preventing him from selling shares of Yukos to American Oil multinationals restauring this way the main resource of Russia

Sir,

You say in the above article “…cockpit impregnated with saltpeter.” Clearly you made an gross error and intended to say “salt water” and not “saltpeter”.

So as to refresh your memory, “saltpeter” is a common name for potassium nitrate, a nitrogen compound used in black powder (and not found in water but on land).
