By Road. Leave the M27 at junction 11 and take the A32 into Gosport town centre. Follow the signs for Gosport town centre, (you will notice signs at Fareham that also say town centre but you should follow the signs to Gosport). Look out for the yellow signs for Royal Clarence Yard on lamp posts along the way. Keep going into Gosport town centre, some of the landmarks will be the Kwik Fit Garage on your left, Crown Bingo on your right and St. VincentCollege on the left hand side. Go through a set of traffic lights about half a mile past the college and straight on all the way into Gosport. The marina is on the left hand side just before the Castle Tavern.

By Rail. Catch a train to Portsmouth Harbour railway station (not Portsmouth & Southsea) – from London these go from Waterloo Station, fast trains take just under 90 minutes. From the train, follow the signs for the Gosport ferry (not the Isle of Wight ferry). This is a three minute journey and a return ticket costs £2.80.

On leaving the ferry, you can walk to the marina in about 3 minutes. Walk up from the ferry to the road and turn right, you will pass the Castle Tavern on your right hand side, the entrance to the marina is 20 metres past the pub.

Parking

There is secure parking at the marina, please use the berth holders car park. The marina make a charge of up to £8.00 per day for parking (max £10.00 for the duration of your course). There is also free parking nearby.

Marina Entrance. When you arrive at Gosport Marina go to the marina reception and they will issue you with a key to access the pontoon. If you have any problems call us Stuart 07971 290589 or David 07830 277810.

Our Yachts Adelaide Star / Emerald Star / Canberra Star / Brisbane Star / Melbourne Star / Elizabeth Star and Victoria Star are on “A” pontoon which is the first pontoon that you come to after leaving the marina reception building. You will see our barge “Oz” where a member of staff will be waiting to meet you and direct you to your allocated yacht.

ESSENTIAL CHARTER INFORMATION

Please read the following carefully as it includes essential charter information, you will need to ensure see that you bring all the paperwork requested. We recommend that you print off this information and bring it with you when you come down for your charter

Thank you for booking your charter with us. If you haven’t paid for your charter yet you can do this by bank transfer to the account on your invoice or you can call us to pay by card. Please note credit cards, business debit cards and all overseas cards will incur a 2.5% surcharge. We are no longer able to accept cheques.

We can offer you two options to cover the yacht in the event of losses or damage occurring during the charter:

Option 1 – Security Deposit Limitation Insurance

You can reduce the amount of security deposit you pay by choosing to take the Security Deposit Limitation Insurance option. This payment reduces the amount of security deposit payable but does not eliminate the liability for costs associated with damage or losses to the yacht, or damage to or loss of ancillary equipment or damage caused by a third party.

The Excess of £400 for smaller yachts or £500 for 44ft yachts, will be taken upon arrival as part of the handover process. If damage occurs to a value lower than the excess you will be refunded the amount less the cost of investigation and repair. If the damage incurred exceeds the excess, the payment will not be refunded and you will not be required to pay any additional costs upon disembarkation.

Option 2 – Security Deposit

Alternatively, you can opt to pay a Security Deposit. This is a refundable payment of between £1000 and £1600 depending on the yacht, before your embark and you will be liable for damage or loss incurred to the yacht and its ancillary equipment up to the maximum cost of £1000 – £1600. If damage occurs to the value lower than the security deposit you will be refunded your payment less the cost of repair, replacement and associated costs. If the damage incurred exceeds the security deposit value, your payment will not be refunded and you will not be required to pay any additional costs.
