    The Communications Manager role provides strategic internal communications planning and execution in support of Aerospace-wide objectives. Accountabilities include defining, executing and coordinating effective employee communications programs through integrated communications planning, content development and use of multiple channels to facilitate two-way communications flows. These channels may include, but are not limited to, special events, executive messages, town hall meetings, videos, digital publications, the intranet and internal social media tools.

    The Communications Manager serves as a member of the global Internal Communications team and regularly interacts with other areas of the Aerospace Communications team including External Communications, Marketing Communications and Community Relations to support integrated campaigns with a focus on employee engagement.

    The position reports to the Internal Communications Director and will interact regularly with other Communications leaders supporting Aerospace-wide and regional communications.

      Develop and implement communications plans that meet business objectives and priorities.

    <li>
      Create content and manage delivery in support of engaging Aerospace employees in the businessand#x2019;s priorities.

      Develop and implement internal communications programs for executive staff including the CEO and members of his Aerospace Leadership Team. 
    </li>
    <li>
      Proactively seek out new ideas and facilitate collaboration across other Aerospace organizations to support integrated communications plans. 
    </li>
    <li>
      Enforce and steward brand management standards. 
    </li>
    <li>
      Enforce broader Honeywell Corporate Communications policies and obtain necessary approvals for communications activities. 
    </li>
    <li>
      Collaborate with Communications team on projects and other opportunities to improve the functionand#x2019;s support of the business. 
    </li>
    <li>
      Develop communications plans and tactics in support of planned and unplanned crisis and issues management.

The candidate should have a proven track record in a variety of communication disciplines and#x2013; marketing communications, media/external communications and internal communications and#x2013; and a strong desire to grow and learn in a business-to-business environment. The individual must have a passion for excellence and be able to interact with all levels of the organization, including business leaders, marketing managers, front-line employees, function employees, corporate staff and other Honeywell businesses.

    The Communications Manager will assist the director in raising the standard for overall communications performance in a nearly $1 billion business, which manufactures a wide range of products including pharmaceutical packaging; specialty additives for paints, coatings, inks, adhesives and plastics; fibers and composites for armor and industrial applications; and photovoltaic packaging films. This position requires flexibility and the ability to gain fluency in multiple lines of businesses that produce a wide range of technologies and products. The Communications Manager must think strategically while having the tactical skills to implement communications initiatives that are aligned with business priorities. The Communications Manager must be willing to share best practices across businesses and be able to set measurable communications goals and determine their effectiveness to enable continuous process improvement. The ability to link appropriate communications initiatives to broader Honeywell objectives is a plus.

      Primary responsibilities include:</b>

      Managing day-to-day execution of proactive communications programs that support business priorities and growth;

      Planning, developing and executing measurable marketing communications programs, integrated with media relations, in support of new product introductions and customer-facing events such as trade shows, conferences and customer workshops for select businesses;

    <li>
      Managing external Web content development; 
    </li>
    <li>
      Helping to drive measurable product- and business-related media relations programs; 
    </li>
    <li>
      Supporting crisis response and management activities at plant locations in North America; 
    </li>

      Collaborating with Performance Materials and Technologies regional communicators in Europe and Asia on related initiatives as needed; 
    </li>
    <li>
      Drafting and editing a wide range of written communication materials such as Web copy, business pitches, presentations, press releases, case studies and collateral; 
    </li>

      Collaborating with others on community relations activities for global sites as designated; 
    </li>
    <li>
      Benchmarking world-class performance, establishing appropriate metrics and driving for results;

      Managing communication timelines, vendors, partners; service-level agreements, and other internal and external resources;

        8 years of corporate communications/PR agency background and#x2013; with focus on aviation industry work

        6 years of business and/or commercial aviation media relations experience 
      </li>
      <li>
        Must be authorized to work in the US and able to travel abroad as requiredandnbsp;andnbsp;
      </li>
    </ul>

    </div>
    <ul type="disc">
      <li>
        Public company communications experience a plus 
      </li>
      <li>
        Broad communications experience with in-depth media relations, issues management, and crisis communications skills. 
      </li>
      <li>
        Solid business acumen with understanding of how communications can strategically impact a public companyand#x2019;s sales , business development and external visibility/brand reputation 
      </li>
      <li>
        Experience in business and commercial aviation industry communications; business aviation vendor experience a plus. 
      </li>
      <li>
        Ability to work across international borders and establish regionally relevant business and commercial aviation communications programs. 
      </li>
      <li>
        Work with Director of Communications in managing PR agency relationship across the business and commercial aviation business. 
      </li>
      <li>
        Creative and strategic thinker with broad aviation industry and public relations experience who can turn plans and ideas into actionable programs. 
      </li>
      <li>
        Strong analytical and persuasion/negotiation skills. Solid business acumen. 
      </li>
      <li>
        Outstanding oral, written and presentation skills. Proven media relations skills and results-orientation. Strategic approach to communications and program development ability. 
      </li>
      <li>
        Well versed in social media communications with proven record for using social media in communications programs/campaigns 
      </li>
      <li>
        Bright, hard working and enthusiastic with a serious commitment to excellence. Self-starter and team player. 
      </li>
      <li>
        Ability to interact successfully with all levels of management, build consensus and influence.
      </li>
    </ul>
