Camphill Milton Keynes is a registered residential community, with charitable status providing support and a meaningful working life for adults with a wide range of learning difficulties.

Founded in 1981, it occupies two neighbouring estates, Pennyland and Willen Park, where over fifty residents live together with short and long term volunteer staff and their families in ten separate households, forming a community of over one hundred people.

Our aim is to create a secure and stimulating environment, fully integrated into the surrounding community, that allows the individual to develop in accordance with his or her own needs.

Volunteer Mentors

The “Do you care? Campaign by VOYPIC – the Voice of Young People in Care, aims to encourage adults of all ages from 18 years old to volunteer for the charity’s Mentoring programme. Mentors are asked to spend time with young people in care, doing everyday things with them such as playing football, talking about school and encouraging them to set and achieve goals for themselves.

Potential mentors will be provided with accredited training by VOYPIC and carefully matched with a young person in their area for a year. VOYPIC also provides ongoing support to mentors throughout their participation in the programme.

VOYPIC is looking for 75 mentors to meet the demand for the programme, with 15 from each of the 5 Trust area’s of Northern Ireland. The organisation is particularly keen to encourage males to consider becoming mentors as there are a number of young men who could benefit from a positive male role

Join our team of enthusiastic and dynamic volunteers and help us spread the word of Make-A-Wish. We are looking for volunteers from all walks of life to bring their own life experience and skills to complement our team. We need you to help us grant even more wishes and be involved in all aspects of the charity from fundraising to helping out at events or from visiting the wish children to speaking at a local school.

This is an extremely rewarding opportunity to help us bring some magic to the lives of our wish children. We pride ourselves on our informal approach and all training will be given, you may even learn new skills too! Due to the nature of our work, we can only accept enquiries from over 18's.

Cancer Research UK has over 30,000 volunteers who work in our shops, at our events and who fundraise for us in their local communities. Our volunteers play a significant role in raising vital funds, increasing public awareness of the charity and campaigning for us on particular issues.
What will I be doing?
- Acting as a point of contact for Cancer Research UK staff requiring voluntary help and taking calls from them establishing date, time and number of volunteers required by them.

This role can range from placing and collecting donation tins, store collection days eg tesco, or helping to organise events. You will also be required to attend events to assist with marshalling or perhaps selling raffle tickets.
Experience is not essential but is a bonus, you must be a confident and outgoing person who is willing to work within a team.
There is no set amount of time required - you can give as little or as much as you can afford!
