This lovely picture was submitted to us by a reader on a busy F train at around 5 PM. Apparently she didn't get the memo that three normal sized people are supposed to fit on that section of the bench. Don't worry, she needs the room to spread out and be comfortable.

What is it with people who can't shut up for 1 hour out of the day? A bus/train ride is supposed to be the one hour of the day when you can have your thoughts all to yourself. It's supposed to be a calming ride. Not hearing about your neighbor's troubles.
New rule: If you're on a bus/train before 9:30 AM, SHUT UP! No talking allowed. And if you must talk, talk to your immediate neighbor and quietly, no row skipping.

So, I'm waiting for train service to resume "after an earlier incident" so of course I miss the first rush but luckily the next train has more seats. I eye a prime seat and as I'm about to sit, this lady pushes me and does the sit and slide. It is not as if there were no other seats.
