Most of the users meet various problems as data is being deleted, formatted, infected by viruses, the partitions are deleted along with the data and hardware problems like recovery from hard drive crashes. These malicious programs are responsible of data infections, improper functioning of OS, unexpected warning messages and many more. You are surely seeking for the some software like data recovery tool, file recovery software & data restoration services. Some of the users may visit the data recovery labs to handle out this situation. But is this possible to do the same job by you easily, if yes, then why should anyone visit data recovery lab along with their PC or Laptop.

Yeah, it is possible you can do the data recovery of your Linux compatible system but you need to install the Linux Data Recovery Software onto your system. Most of the business organization uses Linux, as operating system in their machine. Suppose, if their data is being formatted or infected by any malicious function like virus attack or any drive corruption due to human error. Now they unable to get back those data files even they are stored on the drive because they are not accessible.
So you need reduce the danger in data recovery to the lowest:

Backup all the data in your hard disk

Prevent the equipment from being damaged again

Don't write anything to the device on which you want to recover data

Try to get detailed information on how the data lost and the losing process

Backup the data recovered in time.

Essence of data recovery Data recovery means retrieving lost, deleted, unusable or inaccessible data that lost for various reasons. Data recovery not only restores lost files but also recovers corrupted data. On the basis of different lost reason, we can adopt different data recovery methods. There are software and hardware reasons that cause data loss, while we can recover data by software and hardware ways. Being different from prevention and backup, data recovery is the remedial measure. The best way to insure the security of your data is prevention and backup regularly. To operate and use your data according to the normative steps, you can reduce the danger of data loss to the lowest.

info source : http://www.easeus.com

Don't forget to Bookmarks this site

RAID Data Recovery, Data Recovery & Computer Forensics

"RAID's are amongst the most complex media devices to recover data from.".....Disklabs Data Recovery and Computer Forensics Services have a wealth of experience in Computer forensics and emergency data recovery
Disklabs Data Recovery and Computer Forensics Services are able to recover almost any type of data loss, from almost any media type. Hard Drive Data Recovery can still occur even recover data from fire and flood damage.

Data recovery software have automated functions like file recovery, partition recovery, and file repair; and may contain more complex operations like drive access, drive repair, sector cloning, network imaging, and Hex editing.

What is Data Recovery?

Data recovery poses the last option to recover deleted, lost, corrupt, or damaged files, once local and network backups have failed. Data recovery encompasses all aspects of recoverying bits of data, ranging from automated data recovery software that revive files from the dead; to emergency data recovery service performed in a cleanroom environment.

Disk recovery experts are well versed in the special technologies and techniques necessary to extract raw data from failing storage devices, including but not limited to: replacing read/write heads and related components, drive image, and decoding. Data extraction enables a hard drive recovery specialist to run a disk recovery tool such as a Hex Editor to reconstruct the system components.

File recovery focuses on rebuilding files and folders to their orginal state. File recovery undelete software symbolize the most fundamental recovery step, while an advanced file recovery utility functionality is synonymous with data recovery software, utilizing the most effective algorithms and functions in retrieving data. Anything beyond file recovery tools require data recovery service.

Data recovery software feature multiple modules designed for more challenging recoveries. Data recovery software have automated functions like file recovery, partition recovery, and file repair; and may contain more complex operations like drive access, drive repair, sector cloning, network imaging, and Hex editing. When advanced recovery software procedures fall short, in-lab data recovery service are necessary.

Data recovery service falls into two business groups: Independent technicians and computer repair companies that focus on recovery software jobs. And professional data recovery services that have a team of hard drive recovery experts which reconstruct file systems and work on physically failing and dead hard drives in a cleanroom setting.

Partition recovery repairs and rebuilds altered boot sectors and partition tables so that your files can be accessed. While partition recovery jargon may sound confusing, partition recovery software can be as simple as one, two, three steps, and your partitions and files are recovered. Partition recovery service is usually rendered in lieu of software, when a file system specialist is needed to rebuild the boot or partitions manually.

Hard drive recovery is data recovery service but the focus is on the device. Since disc drives were the first, and still are the primary storage median a lot of people just naturally say hard drive recovery for all situations. However, since new, more convenient removable devices to store data have been made, such as the IPod, USB, and soforthe, hard drive recovery is starting to be less common. In the coming years hard drive recovery will probably change to flash drive recovery.

Undelete is the simplest form of recovery; undelete also the least expensive. Deleted files lie within the file system and require an undelete software utility or an editor to get them recovered. Undelete is so common that computer operating systems usually have some basic free undelete file function installed within it.

Although much of this terminology makes people seem like recovering data is beyond their grasp and is only for the disk recovery professionals, most disk recovery problems can be addressed by automated, user-friendly, and affordable disk recovery utilities for almost all user levels. In-lab data recovery services are performed when hard drive utility tools fall short, when people cannot run software, and when disk recovery specialists need to recover everthing manually.

information source : http://www.atl-datarecovery.com/

Don't forget to Bookmarks this site

Business Data Recovery Specialists

Data recovery is the process of recovering data from storage media when it cannot be accessed normally. Hard drives are among the most common types of storage media requiring data recovery.

Data recovery may become necessary for a wide variety of reasons, but generally the failure can be categorized as resulting from physical damage or logical corruption

.

Physical Damage

Moisture contact or penetration

Exposure to extreme temperatures

Variations in humidity

Shock or force sustained

Defective mechanical or electronic components

Spike or surge in power source

Degrading read/write heads

Logical Corruption

File System formatted

Operating System reinstalled

Files deleted or recycled

Software (ScanDisk, CheckDisk, Defrag)

Virus intrusion

Broken or corrupted RAID array configuration

What is data recovery?

Data recovery is the process of recovering data from storage media when it cannot be accessed normally. Hard drives are among the most common types of storage media requiring data recovery. However, there are many other forms of electronic, optical, and magnetic storage media that can become damaged or corrupted. Data recovery is generally considered to be the last resort when all other attempts to retrieve the data have been exhausted.

How does data recovery happen?

The data recovery process depends on the type of recovery necessary for your particular situation. Our specialists begin with a diagnostic process to determine which solution fits your needs and then you are contacted to discuss your quote.

How long does data recovery take?

We have three data recovery service options:
Emergency Service - 24 hour turn around time
Priority Service - three day turn around time
Standard Service - two week turn around time

If necessary, a diagnosis and price quote can be obtained within 4 business days.

How much does data recovery cost?

Data recovery costs can vary depending on the type of storage media, severity of damage, specialty parts, and turn around time required. We have solutions starting at $350.

What is the success rate of data recovery?

The good news is, although there is no guarantee that data can be recovered, our team of specialists have years of success recovering data from all types of media. If it can be recovered, Data Doctors will do it!

The success of data recovery depends on the nature of the damage to the storage media. Unfortunately, chances for successful recovery decrease if there is physical damage to a hard drive's platters or magnetic layer. Severe physical failure can cause irreversible damage to any kind of magnetic storage media.

Is there anything I can do to recover my data?

Users inexperienced in data recovery can cause more damage to their storage media when attempting to recover data themselves. It can be memorable photos, favorite songs, emails, or reports and projects needed for school or work. And because of the many important data stored in the computer's hard drives, you wouldn't want to do something to erase those files. But sometimes, it just can't be helped as hard drives can crash, servers can fail, and laptops can be accidentally dropped. Fortunately, there is such a thing as data recovery. Data recovery is a process of recovering important information that was lost as a result of a computer crash, virus attack, or hard disk malfunction. In order to recover lost data, you can send your hard drives to companies that offer data recovery services. Depending on how extreme your situation is, the company can send you the recovered files in as fast as 3 working days. Although it is a bit costly, you are assured that only skilled professionals are handling your case. Another option is to buy or download a data recovery software to retrieve lost or partial data, and minimize damage brought upon to the system. In the event that you lose data, the first thing you should remember is to avoid panicking. Refrain from aimlessly trying to retrieve the lost data by clicking several keys. This will only make things worse. What you can do to start Mac data recovery is to pause and go over your options carefully. Do not turn off or restart your computer, thinking that it can solve your problem. Another thing you shouldn't do is surf the Internet to look for a data recovery Mac solution. Doing all these will only cause your computer to use up the storage space occupied by your lost data. If you really have to look for a data recovery software for your mac, then it would help to use another computer. Also, refrain from running other unrelated and irrelevant programs. Specifically, if you come across the error message "The disk is damaged do you want to initialize?" or "-127 error disk could not be used/found", this indicates that the directory structure of your disk is damaged and therefore cannot be accessed. Generally, such damage occurs when a Mac freezes in the middle of the programs and has to be restarted, or if you failed to properly shut down the computer. In order to recover files lost by such cases, the Unerase program in Symantec's Norton Utilities can be used. Just remember to choose a different drive for the destination of your recovered files, and not the crashed disk or any of its partitions. Those are some tips you can do when you want to do Mac data recovery. Remember that if you lose data, the first thing you have to do is avoid panicking and opening several applications not related to data recovery. This could only cause your computer to replace the storage space formerly occupied by the lost data with newer data, and thus could be harder to recover. Not all hope is lost if you lose your data. Either you download a data recovery software of send your hard drive to experts.

source artikel : http://ezinearticles.com/?Mac-Data-Recovery&id=1335374 Don't forget to Bookmarks this site

Hard Drive Data Recovery

"you can probably recover your data with the help of this guide from PCSTATS. - Version 1.3.0"

Guide to recover your data.If you've been using computers for a decent amount of time there is a good chance someone has told you that data stored on a hard drive is not exactly safe. I'm here to assure you that this is indeed true.

Never mind the fact that unlike tapes or CDs or other methods of storage, hard drives are mechanical, active devices and are thus subject to comparatively rapid breakdown.

No, the real threat to hard drives are the people that use them, by which I mean you and me. Hard drives, being the dynamic storage devices that they are, are extremely easy to erase in any number of amusing and simple to achieve ways... as are USB hard drives and flash memory cards.

Working as a computer tech during the glory days of Windows 98, you get rather used to using FDISK and other hard drive utilities to prepare and repair customer's drives, which leads to a certain over confidence. That attitude can lead straight to disaster, sort of like giving a 12 year old boy the keys to an ATV.

Picture this if you will; there I was, two or three sentences and a screen shot away from finishing a 5000+ word article on computer upgrades. All I had to do was fire up FDISK on a dual boot Windows98/XP Pro system and grab a few screen shots. I figured I'd write a little blurb on how to partition a drive, making sure to tell the readers not to mess with FDISK if they were not sure what they were doing…Yes, there's going to be some irony here.
So anyway, I wanted to get some more screen shots of the actual partitioning screen, but I did not have a blank hard drive handy. I figured I could use my NTFS formatted XP drive (which FDISK perceived as a blank drive) to start the "process," grab the screen shots and then cancel the partitioning.

No problem. Except for one little thing…

I had forgotten that FDISK, in the process of checking the disk before it prompts you for the size of the partition, writes information to certain areas of the hard drive. This data writes over whatever might have been there before. Meanwhile, there I was, watching the '%complete' counter and wondering why a little red warning flag kept going off in my brain? I restarted WinXP and waited for it to boot, and waited... and waited... Oops.

info source : http://www.pcstats.com

Don't forget to Bookmarks this site

Denver Computer Repair Services

"Denver Computer Repair Services. Each type of media presents different recovery challenges. The data recovery process is very complex and labor intensive. Successful data recovery requires an intimate understanding of all of the technical details of modern data storage media, operating systems and file systems. It requires a well-equipped, controlled laboratory that is staffed with experienced, trained technicians. Without these resources, the chance of losing data or causing more harm to the media climbs considerably.

Causes for Data Loss
There are many causes for data loss includingmechanical failure of the device, damage to the device, human error, power surges and software viruses. There are two categories of data loss:

Logical Failures
A logical failure is when the media has not been physically damaged. A file may have been deleted, reformatted or contaminated with a virus. Generally, in these situations, data is easier to recover as long as the data has not been overwritten by subsequent usage.

Physical Failures
A physical failure is when the media has been damaged or experienced a mechanical failure. Fire or water damage can result in a physical failure or, in the case of a disk drive, part of the mechanism such as a spindle or head may have failed. In these cases, the media, such as a disk drive, must first be rebuilt before data recovery can be attempted. Often, by utilizing technology and specialized techniques, data can be recovered but, in some cases where the drive or device is too damaged, data recovery is impossible.
Eboxlab Data Recovery Services, offers professional, fast, economical data recovery caused by hard drive crash, software corruption, a computer virus, human error, or a natural disaster.

information : http://www.denverdatarecovery.net/
Don't forget to Bookmarks this site

Data Recovery - recover your lost or damaged files

Data recovery is the process of reviving data that have been lost due to physical damages like hard drive head crash, scratched, water-damaged or broken disks and tapes, and defective mechanism. Free data recovery refers to freeware or free software applications or utilities that anybody can download from the Internet for personal use.

Aside from physical causes, data could get lost when the file system is formatted; when the operating system running the machine is reinstalled; when files get deleted accidentally; when there is a virus attack; and when the system gets corrupted. These damages can happen to anyone and any computer anytime.

Most specialist would say that the best free data recovery system is to be pro-active in file management. There should always be a backup system especially for very important data. The backup will definitely make things easier and less frustrating when the unfortunate happens.

It's a good thing that there are ways to recover your lost or damaged files. If the data loss has a large impact on your business or it's a matter of national security or something, the wisest move is to go straight to the data recovery companies who have experts that can work on your problem.

But, if you think you know what you're doing and you have a technical background in computers and storage devices, then there are two options for you: purchase a data recovery software package or download a free data recovery utility online.

Obviously, there is a huge difference on the cost for each of these two. Software packages could be expensive but they could really offer a lot to the user. The freeware mostly downloadable on the Internet entails no cost although some authors ask for donations for their efforts to keep on going.

Now, let's say you accidentally formatted your drive and you have no backup. The freeware can help you recover them but you have to bear in mind a few things:

Stand up and leave that computer which uses the drive that needs the recovery system. You can't afford disk-swap activities that could damage the data even more.

Never install or download the free data recovery software from the same machine you want to recover data from. Go to another computer and save the program on a flash drive and run it directly from there.

Never save the recovered files on the same hard drive you recovered them from.

If the machine is making strange noises or is returning error messages, stop the installation. This could be a sign of hardware malfunction.

Follow the tips if you're planning to download free recovery software to address your data loss predicament. Remember to be cautious when getting freeware to avoid getting any more problems.

Be warned also about these websites that claim to give free data recovery programs, some could be deceiving. They would say the program is free but you'll soon find out that these are just demo versions and soon you will have to purchase the real thing to get the benefits or more features. The freeware that is genuinely free are those utilities you can download and really pay nothing for.
